Plz Help ROTR dilemma!?

We will be at the parks on 12/5. I'm so completely stressed and overwhelmed about what to do as far as HS that day. I know its not the same but can anyone share some insight or expertise based on Pandora and smugglers run opening day as far as what wait times may look like for ROTR without waking up and being in line at 4 am? My Fast Pass day is tomorrow and I'm second guessing everything. Our last day in Parks is Saturday 12/7.

@SMRT-1 is just the person to calculate expected wait times based on load #s and if SWGE reaches capacity and uses Boarding Groups.

The unknown factors are when the park will actually open to guests and the exact length of RotR.

On opening day for Smugglers run the wit got as high as 6 hours, then it dipped down to 90 minutes later in the day. Not sure how good a predictor that is because It opened in the off season and people also wanted to see lots of other stuff in the land, whereas I expect a lot of people in December will just want to do RoTR (as many times as they can—if it is as amazing as they say). I would expect the wait to be several hours long all day.

So my guess is it's going to be similar to MFSR where there was that inflation to 5-6 hrs, but will drop back down to 90 minutes. Depending on whether or not they extend Extra Extra Magic Hours remains to be seen. It's doubtful the park will reach capacity (though they may use the VQ they did for opening day in August).

Now, as an aside, I will not be starting my day in Hollywood Studios that day. I had already been planning on using Morning EMH at EPCOT. anyway before they announced GE. However, the only time convenient for me to Oga's was a 7:45 PM time. I'm going to try to get in line before close. If they close the line early, I'll hit up SDD since I have not been on it yet or TSM if for some reason SDD is down/closed. Either way, as much as I want to go on RotR, I'm not going to make a big push to get on the ride.

Thanks guys for the feedback, I’m not an expert at this, and had no idea wait times were around 6 hours I already picked up fast passes that day (didn’t get Slinky Dog) and we have dinner that evening in the park maybe we’ll luck out later in the day and only have to wait half that time Lol

Keep in mind that I believe was in mid-morning to mid-afternoon. So a later time might indeed be better. But who knows now that the land will be "complete" (I was banking on people staying away because it wasn't )
