We purchased 3 plumeria cuttings a couple years ago. One didn't make it, but the other 2 have become very nice plants. No blooms yet, but it's really only their 2nd year. We have grown very fond of these!
Here's the problem. I had the plants outside this summer for the sun (which they really loved). Last night, we had a pretty intense wind storm and my larger plumeria did not fare well. The wind ripped both branches completely off.
Is there anything I can do? I'm not a "plant person" and I've never propogated anything before, but I really don't want to lose him.
The branches are probably about 16" or so and have about a dozen leaves on them. They were somewhat clean breaks, but not like they were cut with shears.
I also don't want to lose the original plant. Is there anything I should do to the parts of the plant where the branches used to be to keep it healthy?
What can I do?!? I know my DIS friends will have the answer!
