We're arriving at WL this Saturday! We have a standard view room. What should we request in order to have the best chance of a quiet room? Is there any chance we could have a view of the Magic Kingdom, or would that require an upgrade?

Thanks for any help!

Request a room on the 6th floor, 6082 to 6087. These rooms overlook the lobby, with your room on the same side of the building as Whispering Canyon. This will give you an outside view of the service area when you look down. But, when you look up, you will have a beautiful view of the top of the Grand Floridian, the Polynesian, the back of the Contemporary, and monorail. The sunset from this view is fabulous! It sets right over the Polynesian. You will also see the fireworks, although they are somewhat blocked by trees.

does anyone know where the bunkbed rooms with the woods view are located?

All the rooms directly above WCC off the Lobby (Floors 4-6) are Woods View Rooms. There are 9 standard view rooms on the 4th floor over Check-in that overlook roof peaks. There have been reports that the noise from WCC have effected the guest staying in these rooms.

The other standard view rooms are all located in the North Wing (Floors 4-6) overlooking the service area, by requesting a higher floor it will remove you further from any noise from deliveries. These rooms also have a view toward the Magic Kingdom with possible views of the fireworks.

As your dates are so close I would wait until you arrive and just request a quiet room location.

I have had room 6060 before and it had an unobstructed view of the castle, but that was a couple years ago. Trees may have grown over it now, not sure. It is over the service area, but we had no issues with noise, unless you sleep with the door open. I would definitely choose the North (MK) side, high floor to be the quietest more than over the check in area.

Side note: HI Becky!!

Just being Debbie Downer here .... I stayed at WL twice, and my requests were ignored each time (nothing outrageous either - one time I requested a balcony - denied!). And some standard rooms overlook the loading dock/dumpster area, which can be quite noisy with trucks. Just be warned - not everyone gets those great high floor MK view rooms .... be prepared!
