We will staying for 11 nights at the Poly and will be getting 9 day pass with WAter Park and more option, but no hoppers. I have planned our days and ADRs as follows, pls critic my plan:

27 Nov : arrive poly around 11pm after almost 30 hrs of traveling! Hope we get a good rest!
28 Nov : 9.30 bf at Ohana, mini golf and MK in evening for Dessert Party
29 Nov : Epcot day. lunch at Chef de France, afternoon break. Return to Epcot in evening for dinner at Rose and Crown (Illumination)
30 Nov :MK day 8.10 bf at crystal palace. DD doing BBB. dinner at 1900 PF
1 Dec : HS day. AM EMH, Fantasmic lunch at MM.
2 Dec : blizzard beach day. Dinner at Kona
3 Dec : Disney Quest Day. dinner at Be our Guest
4 Dec : Epcot Day. AM EMH. Lunch at Akershus. Dinner at Ohana
5 Dec : MK day. 8.05 Bf at CRT. Dinner at Tony's (MSEP)
6 Dec : AK day. 8.15 BF at Tusker House.
7 Dec* : bf at Cape May, then rest day for Shopping at Vineland Ave. Dinner at TRex.
8 Dec* : bf at Chef Mickey and check out and Airboat tour before checking into hard Rock Hotel for our second part holiday at Universal.

We will have 11 TS but have made more ADRs so we are prepared to pay some meal OOP. My deliemma is with Cape May and Chef Mickey on the last 2 days. The reason why we like to choose one of these is for Minnie. I had originally book CM on our check out day as I thought it'll be nice to have a character meal before we leave. But now, we have decided that we would like to do an airboat tour and we understand it is best done in the morning so that we can see the alligators. But our CM ADR is at 9am and there are no more ADrs available for 8 or even 7 Dec. I managed to score a 8.40 ADR for Cape May on 7th, so this can leave our 8th free and we can check out early to go on our airboat tour. I have never tried Cape May, but review seems good. But as CM is so difficult to get, it seems such a waste to cancel that. :confused3

What will you do if you are me? chef Mickey and do a late airboat tour, or keep that day free and do a cape may bf the day earlier? Are any of my ADRs not worth doing since we have 14 ADRs but only 11 TS?

Any suggestion and feedback appreciated!

i have never done the airboat tour but if its best done in the morning. I would do that. CM is hard to get but if its not gonna fit in, on the other hand, i wouldnt care aobut seeing alligators as much as minnie:)

I like Cape May so much better that Chef Mickey's & so did my kids. Food was much better and its so much less crowded with lots of character interaction. Plus we loved their beach attire. I would definitely skip CM. BY then you will have seem so many characters and eaten so many Disney meals that you'll want to get out & do something else. Even my kids (ages 4, 7 & 9 on our last trip) were done with the characters by the end of 7 days.

I have heard most kids will only eat Akershus for breakfast, as is it a far cry from "normal" food, so you might consider switching that to a breakfast ADR, or skipping, since you will be paying OOP for some. It is supposed to be great character interaction, but you may be paying for just that if your kids won't eat the food. I would especially consider that since you are also doing CRT, 1900 Park Fare, and Be Our Guest.

Also, by doing two breakfast ADR's on your MK days, you will miss rope drop, and the ceremony is supposed to be really amazing! So could you move Crystal Palace to a late lunch ADR, or skip it, since you have a dinner ADR that day? I've also heard really mixed things about Tony's lately, so you could see about cancelling Tony's and doing Crystal Palace for dinner.

I would also probably stick with Cape May and skip Chef Mickey. You have so many great character meals already, and Cape May gives you Minnie, the one you really want :)

:)

Actually, the kid's menu at Akershus is pretty much the same kids items as a lot of the WDW restaurants. Hot dog; pizza; grilled chicken over pasta etc. Usually it is the picky or non-adventurous grown-ups that complain about the adult menu. DD is a princess fanatic so we usually eat there CRT AND 1900 Park Fare every trip. Akershus we have only done lunch and dinner I prefer the interaction, atmosphere and food at CRT, but Akershus is fine too.

That is good to know! I've read in several places, "Most American kids won't eat anything on the lunch and dinner menus." It's great to hear another side of that :)

DH said the same. He thought seeing them in beach attire will be cute since he recall the white chef attire for most characters at CM was a little boring :)

I did not think of character fatigue....come to think of it, that's really possible :)

The princesses meals are for DD who is crazy about princess. The boys will only do CRT and 1900 PF with us. I convinced them to do CRT since I got a pre rd and they want to be in the heart of the park when it opened. 1900 PF they agreed since we thought stepsisters will be fun. So there will only be DH, DD and 1 at Akersus. I did not pick bf *** I thought we needed a break fm Disney ts bf :rotfl2: and Akersus is a pretty long walk into the park and I want to minimize walking for DD, so thought doing future world at EMH, then moving on to lunch will be gd. DD will probably like the meatballs :) so lunch should be ok.

I am second mind about Tony's too. Only reason I pick it is I understand we can see MSEP from the porch. We have a 6.10 pm ADR with MSEP at 7. Thought if we can get a table on the porch, it may be great.
