Quick question:
For those who visit Pleasure Island....how much would you normally budget for a night out there?

Thanks!

Tickets are about $16-20 (can't recall at the moment) and If you think you might go a few times, you might want to consider a PI AP (~$55). If you have a PI AP, you can also bring a guest in for free on friday nights (just show your PI AP and ask for a guest pass at the window) This is only for PI AP's though.. not premium ap's. Also, they were giving an extra 3 months on PI AP's... don't know if they still do..

In anycase.. about $20 for a ticket and usually about $20 for drinking :) Drinks are about $4-6 each... there are also a few food places, burgers, gyros, pizza etc. But if you eat before you go, you should be fine. There is no additional cost for the clubs, beyond the ticket price. Also, you can now mill about PI and enjoy the music outside for free, without a ticket, and they have some drink stands, too..

Heathrow summed it up very well. The only other thing I can think of is shopping. I hate shopping but they have some interesting shops there for souvenirs and such, which I have been dragged into by my sister on multiple occassions much to my discomfort. lol But the clubs are all free so you should have a blast. One question though, are you bringing any younger peop;le with you? Like between the ages of 18-21? They can get into some of the clubs there but not all of them, which is something else to keep in mind.

Thanks for all the info...I have been once before but it was my 21st birthday and lets just say I wasnt paying attention to how much I drank and/or spent (bad birthday girl!) princess:

As of early Jan. '05 the Pleasure Island admission was $17. plus tax. Optionally you could purchase five more consecutive nights for five more dollars.

You are not obligated to buy any drinks or spend any additional money in the clubs (I don't).

I am a single Mom and always travel to WDW with my son. He will be 14 next December. I have always wanted to go to PI but never thought I could because I thought you had to be 18 to enter. My question is just what is the minimum age to enter PI and to go the the Comedy Warehouse which is really where I have wanted to go. If he is allowed with a parent I have read Sue Hollands trip reports where she describes the shows in detail and from what I read it doesn't seem any worse than some of the movies that are out these days -or am I totally wrong?

Before 9 pm I think you can bring in kids under 18 with an adult ... Comedy warehouse might be open and I think Adventurer's club open's around 7 (comedy-ish shows in various rooms, not dancing) Not sure about the others, but after 9 I think it switches to 18/21 ..

Check out the allears site for the showtimes.. and maybe give the PI folks a call, just to make sure. I know we saw very, very young kids (6-8?) playing outside the clubs at PI one night around midnight, so I guess they don't kick them off the island after a certain time.

...and no you aren't wrong.. it's still disney, occasionally a little inuendo, but "good clean fun!" In fact, it's probably cleaner than the average PG-13 movie, or comedy central. :)

If you go to the Comedy Warehouse, just do the earlier shows, that might be better...and don't forget the fireworks at midnight! They're great!

Is admission to PI a "plus" on the park hopper plus tickets or do you always have to pay a separate admission fee?

How would I find out how long that promotion is going on? We have plus tickets but that would only be about 25 bucks. Since we're planning to go twice in the week, that would be a bargain.

They've done that for years, but I would call them before you count on it. A friend in FL who is a PI regular, said they have made some changes to PI ticket recently (last 2 weeks?) .. so just call to double check. The change *I know* he told me about was, them not taking friday night guests on Premium AP's, only PI ap's now... but the 5 day is different from the ap :) and I can't seem to find good PI info on the web.

Shannon. I brought my kids to PI last trip a few times during our last vacation and my youngest was your sons age. We always went to the first showing of the CC. They really enjoyed this show. It was alot like "Whos line is it anyway" It made them feel grown up. They didn't enjoy the Adventures Club. (This was a little too grown up and they felt it was strange.) Even though it also was the beggining of the night there were some drunks already out. We only went one night and stuck to the CC the rest. Oh and don't feel like you have to buy any drinks, the CM don't care if you are just there for the show. Enjoy, Gina :earboy2:
