Although we've been to WDW soon to be 5 times, we've never really 'done' PI. My friend at work has now booked for next November and will be taking her 14 yo brother along - she has asked if he will be allowed into PI clubs etc as there is a group of about 6 of them going and he will be the only kid. I've looked through the various guide books we've collected and have found varying info regarding under 18's/21's - one book said they could go into PI if accompanied by a parent/guardian but were not allowed in 2 of the clubs as they had a strict over 21 policy.

Has anyone taken kids with them on a night out to PI and if so have you any tips I can pass on to my mate to help her plan her trip.

Thanks for your help

Denise

Hi Denise,
I only saw a couple of children at Pleasure Island - and they did 'stand out' which, having children of a similar age, I know would have made mine feel very self-conscious and happier if they'd stayed back at the resort.
However, we have had this question before, and many people have taken their teenagers there and felt fine about it - I think perhaps I'd put the pros and cons to the young man himself and see how he feels - if he feels he'd be comfortable amongst a mostly adult crowd then he'll probably be fine, however, if he is concerned, I would suggest that perhaps someone accompanies him to Disney Quest instead.

Here is an earlier thread on the subject!

Thanks Shirley.

I thought the question had probably been asked before, but I was too lazy to look through and search for it - well it is Saturday after all!:D

I'm off to read it now...thanks again

Denise

Hi Denise

We are just back from our 3 wk trip and I took my 14 yr old daughter to PI there were a couple of nightclubs she was allowed in accompanied by an adult - the best one was called Motion which she loved - full of R&B music. This was one of my faves as well.
