Please tell me which airlines you use.

I'm trying to pull together all the bits and pieces and get serious about getting us an airfare! I'm in NS but am willing to drive to New England. Maybe this would be useful to others in other parts of the country, though.

The obvious ones to me are

Southwest

Westjet

Air Canada

Jetblue

I've also bookmarked Delta b/c I heard of someone somewhere getting a seat sale!

Air Transat and Sunwing don't do FL from NS and getting myself to Toronto or Montreal on a separate ticket to pick up their flight doesn't save me anything.

I did a quick check of American and they seem as expensive as AC with worse connections, but maybe they have seat sales that might be worthwhile?

Am I missing anything?

I've used the following...

Westjet - great airline, great planes, great staff, expensive

Delta - I flew with Delta this past March, too many flight changes, delays etc.

Jet Blue - Will be flying with them this January, I've heard great things

My plan is to eventually fly with Southwest, however, they never seem to have my dates for sale and I just can't wait until the last minute to get a ding and hope it's for my dates, I like to have everything planned in advance.

we normally fly out of Toronto on Air Transact. But this year decided to drive the 2 hours to Buffalo and fly Southwest. We really enjoyed the trip no issues and very friendly staff. And instead of paying 1,000 Can we payed 311.00 US. Yes for the two of us only 311.00US. No is that amazing savings.

So from now on it will be southwest. Also I took a scooter with me and they were very good with it. Know problems at all

We are in Northern NS with no good prices out of Halifax. I grew up in NB, but had no idea where Beaver Dam was.

Anyways, I just looked on Expedia to see what Delta costs from Bangor and our dates are $275pp (instead of $750 out of YHZ). Thanks for the insight!

Hi, you can get very good buys from Delta / Bangor if you book 330 days from your desired travel date. Get them as soon as you see them psoted on their website.

I'm use to travelling 4 hours to the IWK in Halifax. The three hours to Bangor is a peice of cake. There is also cheap hotel that will keep your car for free if you stay the night with them. One is Super 8. The yeven shuttle you to and from the airport!

I live just 12 minutes out of Fredericton. The plane tickets out of here are very high as well. What town are you from?

I lived in Hampton (outside of Saint John) and then Moncton. Bangor sounds like a great option for us as well, although I'm not sure I can convince the crew to get on a small commuter plane. Bangor is around a 7 hour drive from here, so not bad to save 2 grand!

Another Suuthwest fan here and I'm very happy with their service and especially their fares! We have to drive about 2 hrs to get to the Buffalo airport but that is nothing when you compare the savings compared to flying anywhere out of Canada. The extra costs are outrageous! Taxes and fees all overe the place!

We got a great DING fare this past Feb to MCO (33.00 US each way!) and our cost for our upcoming trip next week was $59.00 US each way! We love Southwest!

Southwest isn't on there - yet

We're driving from Cape Breton to grab JetBlue for our Christmas trip (you may have already read this somewhere!! I'm too excited to pay $198/person, return to PWM - about an hour further from BGR)

We're staying at the Super8 in Westbrook/PWM - about a 15-20minute cab ride. $80USD/night. They're "keeping" our van for us while we're gone.

We would have liked to use our Aeroplan points out of Sydney to YHZ-BOS, and then onto MCO with JetBlue, but no seats

We'll pick up mom and dad on our way through in SJ, and spend the night, onto PWM next morning

I would have been KV '87 until we moved. Played soccer in provincials down there in '85 for Moncton High and played with some KV guys at Mt A from '88-'91.
