please tell me what to do

I need help... I have been reading and reading and my head is spinning. so much info...
The plan is for dd (17) & I to fly into San Diego on July 11 early in the day, spend that afternoon and the whole next day exploring San Diego. This will include a visit to the San Diego Zoo. Our flight is booked as are our 3 nights in San Diego.

On our 3rd day in San Diego we are going the La Jolla for the day to snorkle, kayak and sunbathe (and shop?).

Day for, Thursday the 14th of July we are leaving San Diego and heading north. This is where my confusion starts... we want to drive up the coast, stopping in Laguna Beach for a few hours for lunch/shopping/ect.

We want to go to Universal, Disneyland, Venice Beach, Walk of Fame, Farmer's Market. I plan on flying home on the 21st out of San Diego.

Option 1: Should we go from San DIego to LA area and stay there Thursday/Friday nights ( going to Universal, other LA sights on Friday/Saturday. Maybe Thursday night too if get to LA early enough....) and then Anaheim from Saturday to Wednesday.

Option 2: Or go to Ahaheim from San Diego, stay there for the 6-7nights- go back to LA on Saturday to see sights, commute to LA and maybe the following Tuesday (doing DIsney on Friday/Sunday/Wednesday).

or Option 3: no idea what that is lol

Option one probably is better in regards to drive time, ect but option 2 is cheaper. Does one option have a much bigger benefit than the other???

it would probably be cheaper to go to anaheim and stay there.

unless you WANT to keep changing hotels.

you should be able to drive to the different attractions since you have a rental car.
(and a GPS?!!)
