We will be in Orlando the third week of March. We are staying in a DVC studio at SSR. However, I am leaning towards doing US/IOA this time around instead of doing Disney. My girls are 16, 12 and 7. I have been to US once in my past and loved it. I think my older girls will like it very much, however, I am a little concerned about my 7 year old. Please convince me that this will be a great vacation for my girls!!

I believe you will have a faboules time!!:thumbsup2

How tall is your youngest??

If they all love thrill rides, they will love Universal. There are also some tamer rides, 3D rides, the theming is great, the atmosphere is fun. We just love it!

If you can swing it, stay at one their onsite hotels. By doing so, you get front of the line access to each and every ride and attraction as many times as you want. You can walk to the parks from these hotels as well, or even take a water taxi over. You kids will love it! The hotels can be pricey ($200-$300 a night), but well worth it to get to the front of the line. Your kids will be spoiled forever!

I think she will have a ball! There are plenty of things for kids of that age to do at each park.

Thanks, everyone!! My youngest is 4' 4" tall. She should be tall enough to ride just about anything, not that she would, but she could.

Your youngest needs to grow to 4'6" to be able to ride everything. At 4'4", she's able to ride everything except Hulk & Dueling Dragons.

But there's so much to do, everyone will have fun. Make sure to scream, of course.

We've been taking our 9 year old son to US & IOA since he was 6 and he's always had a blast. Make sure to check out the Curious George and Fievel play areas at US. It's a great place for the younger one(s) to play and the adults can just sit and take a break.

Another play area that's fun is Camp Jurassic at IOA. Our son loves the water guns where you can have water gun fights with other kids. And then there is the whole Suess Landing area where I think all your kids will enjoy the rides.

I think you all will have a blast if you go!

I like those too!:rotfl:

I would also suggest staying at one of the onsite hotels if you possibly can switch from SSR at Disney, since you are planning to do US/IOA instead of Disney this trip. You'll love the proximity to the parks, and there are some really good deals on at the onsites if you check out the Universal Orlando website:

Feb 12 - Apr 2; Apr 19 - Jun 27; Jun 28 – Oct 8, 2009
Stay 3 nights - save up to 15%
Stay 4 nights - save up to 30%
Stay 5 nights - save up to 40%; (Stay 5 nights for the price of 3!*)
Stay 6 nights - save up to 41%
Stay 7 nights - save up to 42%; (Stay 7 nights for the price of 4!*)

Makes the price much more manageable, and the front of the line access just can't be beat. It makes Disney's Fastpass pale in comparison. We have stayed at both the Hard Rock Hotel and Royal Pacific Hotel with our two daughters and loved them both.

I agree those are great rates cause we ae use to paying $207 to $238 a night and we took advantage of the stay 7 for the price of 4 and got a room at RPR for $152 a night :cool1:

We just went to USF in Aug with our kids ages 16,13 and 7 . I have to say it is one of the best vacations we go on next to WDW . ALL my kids have something to do and see there. I was there earlier in the year with my DD and her BF and my BF for her sweet 16 and they had a great time then as well . We stay on site though but even if you don't the kids will have a great time .. HAve fun :thumbsup2
