Please, tell me the great rates you've gotten in January?

We will be renting DVC points for 5 nights at OKW for the last week of January, but we will need to pick up another two nights at a different resort since we want to stay 7 nights. Just wondering what rates others got for January 2002 or 2003 and what resort it was at. Also if you could tell me whether it was AP, code, AAA whatever, that would be great! Ideally I would like to tell DH and sons that we will be transferring to ASmo, but then surprise them with a move to WL or at the very least a moderate, instead. Thanks!

BTW, I want to go ahead and book it ASAP, pay the one nights deposit and then add a discount later if possible (unless you all know about any discounts out now for January)!! Thanks as always!!!

Not sure if this will help you or not, but we have gotten rates of $49 and $59/night at All Stars in January. they were AP rates.

I received a AAA rate of 107 for Carribbean Beach....I may change to Wilderness Lodge once AP rates come out!

In January I've paid:
$89/night for Dixie Landings (code)
$169/night for Beach Club (AP rate)
$49/night for All Star Movies (AP rate)
$89/night for Coronado Springs which turned into $99/night for Polynesian due to overbooking (AP rate)

Last January we paid $84 a night (plus tax) at POFQ using a code.

2002 - AP Rate - Grand Floridian - Lagoon - $276 w/ tax

January 2002:

AKL, savannah view $169 +tax
Poly, garden view $174 +tax
CR, (not tower) $154 +tax (we booked, but didn't end up staying here)

These were AP rates. We checked several others at that time. GF garden view was $199 and WL woods view was about the same as CR.

The last two Januarys we have paid $54 and some change each night at ASMo and ASMu with the AP rate. And had GREAT stays.

Our current ressie for Jan '04, at WL, standard view is $169, with AAA discount.

August '02 ressie for WL standard view was $129, and that was a code.

As you can guess, we're hoping for codes for Jan '04 too - looks like historically they've come out in October or November.
