Please tell me I'm not the only one who does this.

I NEVER unpack my clothes from my luggage and use the drawers and closets in a hotel. I basically live from the suitcase. Anyone else?

Same, my suitcase is clean, and I don't know how clean the drawers are

I never unpack ;)

I live out of suitcase as well, I don't think I've ever unpacked at a hotel

I've never stayed in a hotel long enough to unpack. Our upcoming vacation will be a first, so I'm not sure what we'll do.

Not only do I not remove things from the suitcase, I keep outfits inside 2 gallon plastic bags so I can just grab one daily. I also pack a few trashbags to use as dirty clothes bins.
The bags come in handy later for keeping things from getting wet on Kali & Splash. I also use them to sort daily souveniers for scrapbooking later.

Me! We don't unpack either and just leave our suitcases open for access. I don't ever recall using the drawers in a hotel.

I always hang our clothes in the closet but I never use the drawers. Who knows whats been in them :scared1:

We do unpack. It helps the wrinkles fall out of the clothes and its easier to find what you are looking for since all you have to do is look in a draw/closet. No digging down to the bottom of a suitcase.

i never use the dresser drawers; everything stays in my suitcase (though i do have a separate bag for dirty clothes). i will use the closet if i have dresses though. i agree that you don't know how clean those drawers are. i get that i am sleeping in a bed that many others have slept in and is possibly way dirtier than the drawers, but i cut out the dirt where ever i can!

This would be me, but I also bring my own hangers. For one thing, most of the time there aren't enough provided, and I also know my own hangers are clean as well. If I'm just going for a weekend, then I would just leave things in the suitcase, but when I'm at Disney for 10 days like this month, that means four suitcases - and there's just not enough room in the room to have that many suitcases sitting out available.

I don't put clothes in the drawers. I've heard one too many stories of people using the drawers for dirty clothes hampers. Yuck!

If I'm going to stay in a place for more thana two days I do unpack. I like hanging up my things, organizing my toiletries and putting things away so the room is neat. I use plastic bags for some folding clothes and always bring a few extras for dirty laundry. I'm really not a "neat-nik" but I like no clutter.

I never unpack either. DH does and sad to say he is also one of those people that uses the drawers as a hamper. And he wonders why I don't unpack my stuff!!! On the flip side I also know a couple who put their toothbrushes in the in-room safe so the maids don't touch/do anything to them.

Ya know I never considered using it as a hamper. Now I REALLY will never unpack my stuff!!:rotfl2:

I hang my clothes, request extra hangers from housekeeping. Anything that doesnt hang up stays in the suitcase

I usually unpack, then put the dirty clothes back in the suitcase as I go. By the end of the week, I'm almost done repacking so I don't have to waste a single minute of Disney time. Of course I Lysol the drawers before use.

The only things I unpack and hang are polo shirts that tend to get wrinkled en transit (wear these to dinner at signature restuarants).

Everything else stays in the suitcases (we never put anything in drawers).

Our party consists of me, DW, DS8, and DD2. DS and I share one suitcase and DW and DD share the other (we also have a third suitcase for diapers, pull-ups, toiletries, sunscreen, etc.). We do laundry about every 4th day and have one big bag for whites and another big bag for colors (between laundry days, the suitcases gradually empty while the bags gradually fill).

Using this system, packing up only takes about 10 minutes longer than leaving in the morning normally would. It's part of why split stays work for us.

My husband doesn't unpack. In his case, though, the reason isn't concern for cleanliness -- it's sheer laziness. :lmao:

If I'm gone for more than a couple of days, then I unpack. This past WDW vacation, I had a drawer for each member of the family. I also used a shoe organizer to keep stuff like phones, toileteries, small toys and misc. stuff organized so the vanity shelf wasn't covered. I had a folding duffle bag packed in my suitcase and used that as my hamper. At the end of the trip, I zipped it up and most of the clothes were in there ready for the plane. The two suitcases had souvenirs added to them as we shopped and they were also ready to go. Super easy and makes my packing to leave take only about 10 minutes and everything was organized well enough that I don't worry about stuff being left behind in the room.

Me too. We never unpack. ;) The only thing we use the drawers for is our dirty clothes... So, uh, no, we wouldn't put our clean clothes in them. ;) actually, we put our clothes in a laundry bag in the drawers. Sometimes, we put the dirty clothes back in the suitcase in a laundry bag underneath the clean ones, depends on how long we are staying ;)

I hang everything up. I bring all my own hangers from home. I even hang up our shorts. Anything that needs to go in a drawer (underwear, bathing suits) I have in a zipped up bag. I also keep my suitcases off of the floor and I put the suitcases inside big contractor bags. I then put my dirty clothes in one of those huge ziploc bags.

I really wish people wouldn't put their dirty clothes in drawers - I think its rather rude.
