Please tell me I WILL get a better rate from National

I have been trying to get reservations for a minivan at National for our WDW vacation in December. I have been using a different combination of codes and so far have come up with $307.65 per week! The budget-minded person in me says that is way too much, but National doesn't have any rate codes out yet that are valid for that time. What are the odds that I will be able to significantly lower that base rate? Good, I hope! Thanks!

By the way... I just tried again and ended up with over $400 a week! Yikes!!! Am I doing something wrong?

I would contact themouseforless.com. They had a deal where you could sign up to be an emerald member and we got our mini-van for 5 days for $229. They might still have that deal.

P.S. $229/week (plus taxes & fees) is about the best I've seen for minivans for a week in December. Might be more if you are going over the busy Christmas - New Year's period. National has been way more than $229 for our early December dates.

The best I have ever gotten with National is my current ressie which is $260.00. This is for Dec 3-Dec 11. I used an Entertainment Coupon for $20 off and the Priceless Vacations code I got off another website.

Two years ago I had a minivan from National for $263, which I booked probably 6 weeks out. That price beat out the Dollar ressie I had by about $5.

It probably will get cheaper the closer to the time as they assess inventory and such. Just keep checking.

I've not rented with Budget. You do not need to supply a credit card to make a reservation with Dollar.
