Please tell me about the world in May!

Please tell me everything you can about the weather, crowds, and anything we might need to know about the month of being at Disney World the month of May! We are having to move our vacation again to the last week of May. Hubby had to have surgery and will be out of work probably till the end of the year. TIA April

May is a WONDERFUL time to visit WDW!

We were there this year at the end of April/beginning of May. All of our other trips have been in the summer months. We loved our trip this year and plan to go back next year at the same time. We found the crowds to be less, since it was after Spring Breaks. Also, the weather was quite nice. Warm during the day, high 80's to low 90's, but in the 60's at night. We had a couple of passing rain storms, but not enough to ruin any of our days. None lasted more than an hour. And it wasn't every day, like it is this time of year in Florida.

We went in May, and loved it. We were planning a trip next May, but changed due to FTP.

The weather was great, still very wam, but not totally miserable.

One thing to keep in mind, is that the parks are not open quite as late. It helps that the parks are not crowded. We had no problem doing everything we wanted to.

I have been to WDW over Memorial day weekend... it was quite hot and humid and it was crowded during that time.. I have not been at the beginning of May... it might be less crowded then.

We went one year during May and it was wonderful. It was hot, but the crowds were manageable. We really enjoyed the Flower & Garden Festival at Epcot. I do remember the 2 Saturdays of our trip being very crowded at MK with teenagers who were taking end of year trips. I would love to go back another May, but now that I'm back teaching I'll have to stick to Spring Break.

We went this year in May leaving just before Memorial weekend. It was hot, humid, and well hot. We had been the year before in June and it had always rained and cooled it down. May was just hot and humid. Dress and drink appropriately. We did fine. The Flower and Garden Festival was wonderful as was Star Wars Weekend. Crowds weren't too bad and we got a great deal at the Swan. I'd go again.

We love the end of april/ beginning of may. The weather is
great, the flowers are in bloom, the crowds are light, and the lines are short. What's not to love!!

Great time of year to go! In the past, we've gone in late September/early October, but our last trip was in mid-May and, we loved it so much, that we're going next May!

BEAUTIFUL time to go! Actually out of all the times during the year, May is definitely my favorite!

We always go early May, it's my favorite time!!! There is usually very little rain, but the temperatures are beginning to get hot. The parks aren't empty but no where near as crowded as summer. Most attractions are back up and running after having been rehabed during the slow monthes. The one draw back is shorter park hours. Maybe by the end of May they would begin to extend them.

We went last year at the beginning of May. It was great. The weather was warm, but not miserable. The crowds were not bad at all. The only long waits were for stand by on the water rides, Splash Mountain and Kali River Rapids, but with FP it was a short wait. We never waited more then about 15 minutes for rides. The park hours are shorter, but without the crowds there is plenty of time to do everything you want. The only time it was really crowded was on a Thursday night when they had Spectromagic. The parade was only on Thursday and Saturday the week we were there, so MK was a madhouse that night. Now that my oldest is in school this year we are moving our trip up to the first week in June, I am going to miss going in May.
