Please tell me about the Kohl's credit card

We typically don't have store cards but this one seems like it might be worth the additional discounts?

It's the only store credit card I have. I shop there a lot so it's worth it to me. I get 30% deals at least 5 times a year. (I don't always get the 30% code mailed to me but I find one on the www.retailmenot.com website and buy items on-line) Also get free shipping codes a lot so it's more convenient for me to buy on-line anyway. Returns are super easy if you have a card too. If you pay with your card you don't need a receipt to return items, just give them your Kohl's card. I also got a $5 gift certificate mailed to me on my birthday. I don't know about the interest rate because I always pay the full balance ever month.

Like the others who have responded, this is the only store credit card I have. I have it because of the multi-discounts that are offered. Then I pay off the card right away.

I wouldn't think of using it if I couldn't pay the balance every month, because I believe it has a high interest rate on unpaid balances.

So I would recommend that you only get it if you are good at paying the balance off every month; otherwise, I think the fewer cards the better.

I have had the Kohls card for at least 6 years now. I get the MVC status (Most Valuable Customer) each year by spending at least $600 a year on the card. In return I get 15% "pick your own sale" coupons regularly, along w/ free shipping codes. With the 15/20/or 30% peel off discount I get the 30% off a fair number of times. And when you don't get it, the code is readily available on slickdeals.net, just do a search. The in-store kiosk is really great too if you have found an item in the store that they don't have your size, or the one in the store is in terrible condition, etc. or you just want to get the 30% off! The prices at Kohls change ALL the time. Kohls just happens to be in an area I frequent, so I can drop in and check on things on a a weekly or every other week basis so I know what's what. Also sign up for the emails and you will get additional % off days and $ off coupons here and there. If you get it, and don't think the deals are worth it you can always cancel it later.

It's a great card.

Just don't ever buy anything at regular price at that store. If for some reason something isn't on sale (the whole store tends to be on sale daily though! LOL) then their prices can be kind of ridiculous. Always combine your 30% off with a sale!

The card is definitely worth it. I usually get about 3 or 4 30% off coupons throughout the year plus I get $10 off $10 purchases via email. I always pay it off right away so that I don't pay interest. You will NEVER pay full price again! So worth it! Hope this helps!

I dont know how people shop at Kohls without it. First, buy things on clearance. Then combine the 30% off. You'll get Kohls Cash depending on how much you spend, so use that to reduce your bill. And you get coupons email to you too. By the time you are done you get some great items really cheap!

Only store card we have too. So worth it. We never use credit cards and with this one we pay off balance as soon as it comes but it saves so much money. DH and I have our own cards on separate accounts so we get double coupons

I didn't know that.
I always get the lowest % on those scratch offs, so I usually only shop online with them.

Today I ordered a Relic crossbody bag. I saw it on ebags for $43.20 on sale, but Kohl's had the exact same bag except it was under a different style name.
Exactly the same. $28 full price, plus I got to take 30% off with my code and another code gave me free shipping.

Is it common for Kohl's to not list the same style of bags and shoes that other stores have? I noticed the one style of Crocs isn't called the same, either, even though they are exactly the same as the regular name it goes by from other stores.

I just shopped there the first week of August with a 15% off coupon and the cashier said "oh I've got a better one for you" and took a 20% off a huge stack of coupons. Another time I saw everyone had a coupon so I told her I must not have gotten one in the mail so she reached beside the cash register and gave me one. They always are so nice and seem to always have coupons by the cash register.
