please tell me about nikkor 50mm & 35mm

Can you please tell me about your experience with these 2 lenses.

I have the 35 and love it. I had the 50 on my T2i when I had it and found it not wide enough. The 35 is wider and really sharp even wide open. I think for the AF-S versions they are around the same price. There are plenty of times when you shoot indoors where it's better to have a wider lens.

Can you please tell me about your experience with these 2 lenses.

I use a 50mm manual focus 1.2... mostly because I like blurring the backgrounds as much as possible from my subject... on a digital camera it is not that good because it is very difficult to focus without a split screen and made even worse by the darker prism on the digital camera so you have to be very careful with the focus...

Lots of people will claim it isn't sharp when wide open but I'm not blowing up photos to the size of posters and at normal sizes for any photo it is sharp enough that someone isn't going to look at it and squawk about it looking too soft (yes you can see it is not as sharp wide open if you start cropping down and blowing up areas of the photos but I don't try to look for softness by flowing up photos).

Inside I have used a 35mm 2.0 with success on a film camera... on a digital camera it was not really worth it as it not wide enough on Dx cameras... So my only comment on the 35mm was that it served no purpose for what I needed and it just gathered dust when I started using Dx size cameras.

The 35mm is my #1 lens right now and has been for almost 3 years. I have an old 50mm series-e that it fun to pull out from time time.
