I really want to go back to Disney for New Years Eve. Can anyone tell me what to expect? I know about the crowds, but I want to know what it will be like.
Is it worth going? Will it be warm enough to go to the water parks? I am assuming in the evenings I will need a coat, is that correct? We have never done Florida in the winter months. Any help would be great!! :thumbsup2
Thanks!

I love WDW on NYE. I've been to EPCOT every NYE for the past 8 years! It's exciting and festive!

You may or may not need a coat! Some years I've been bundled up like Nanook of the North. Other times I've been in a tshirt and shorts. It all depends.

Last year it was tshirt and trousers. :D No jacket needed.

Fun! Well worth going!

I don't know what to expect either, but we're going this year too. Weather should be gorgeous, though nights can get pretty chilly. We were there for christmas last year and had to buy sweatshirts. We are Floridians and it does get cold in December.

I hear it's crowded, but I expect that and I will be someplace when the ball drops. Have a great time!!!!!

I was at MGM for new years two years ago and it was definately crowded! However, it was tons of fun, they give away top hats and have a fantastic fireworks show. It was chilly when I was there, but not cold, i had on jeans and a short sleeve shirt and was a bit cold...I'm hoping it will be cold this december, I have a Disneyland hoodie that I want to wear. :)

3rd year in a row for me.... and like a previous poster said this past year was not cold at all... while the year before it was quite freezing!! I times it all wrong the year before...worried about getting locked out of a park and tired myself out... I didn't eat.. and got stressed.. and ended up leaving epcot after getting caught in a human traffic jam that lasted about 45 minutes... all because people can't learn.. "Stay to the right!" Last year I actually braved the MK.. and had a blast! It was crowded yes... but I was solo.. so, I could move around more quickly... Everyone was in a fabulous mood.. and it was a great evening.. UNTIL the monorail broke down and they had to figure out how to get that many people out of the park and to the TTC.. and back to their resort hotels as well!! It was quite the nightmare! LOL!! But.. again.. handled well.. and people kept they spirit about them! Nothing is that bad to keep you away... I am proof positive... I am heading back this year again! YAY!! Can't wait!!

We went two years ago to MK and it was the most people in one space I have ever seen. You could not move, I think they stopped letting people in by noon.
The weather is hard to say we there for Christmas and it was 50 and raining, the next day it was in the 40's and a steady 20mph wind. It warmed to around 65-70 the rest of the trip. This Christmas trip I will be taking my winter coat.

It is the day before the first of a new year!!!

j/k - but I could not resist. :teeth:

Now you guys are making me excited!! :cool1: I was really looking for reasons not to go. Now I want to go really bad!!! Thanks for all the info. I guess it is decision time now. :cheer2:
