We are flying in 3 days and Im curious to know about the game system that is there for the kids? I was going to bring the game boy to keep my 5 yr old entertained then Ive heard not to bother. I also heard that there is TV but is individual and do you get Toon Disney! :) Any info appreciated!

I'm not sure about a game system for kids, but they do have a music trivia game. The TV's are set up for each seat, so your son would have
his own monitor and head-phones. It's DISH service, and I believe the
they carry the "Cartoon Network', not Toon Disney among other channels, like ESPN, CNN, MSNBC, CNBC, Travel Channel, Weather Channel, Game Show Network, etc. My advice, bring the game boy as
a back-up, but your son will probably be more intriigued with the touch screen features of the TV. Have fun!

I'd bring the Game Boy. Not a lot extra to pack, and if you need it, you have it. Besides, it is good for what are now long airport waits! I didn't notice any games specifically for kids on Song, but then I was getting the treasure of a trip by myself with no kids to attend to, so I wasn't paying much attention.

One suggestion: I found the ear bud type headphones on Song to be uncomfortable after an hour or two (flying LAX to Tampa). While in Tampa, I bought a pair of really cheap ($5?)lightweight regular headphones, and I was much happier on the return trip. I'd suggest the same for your family!

My 8yr old had his game boy and did use it some but was really intrigued by the flight map where he could see just what part of the country we were flying over and how close we were to Disney. This is another channel on the TV.

Game boy is packed in the carry-on (with 2 new surprise games!) Thank you for the info and suggestions. The flight map sounds really neat! I will probably be hooked on that while my ds plays gameboy!
