Planning a trip here with a large family of varying ages. I'm looking for something nice, but inexpensive, that is close to the parks. Feel free to suggest any other hotels as well. Thanks!

I usually stay at the Howard Johnson just a couple minutes walk from the Park Place Inn but on this last trip we had a some children, seniors and a couple people with mobility issues ( a large group) so we chose to try the Best Western Park Place Inn.
It is a large place, 4 stories tall. The rooms were nicely deocrated and comfortable. We had a mini suite with 2 queen beds and a pull out sofa. The door and windows were a bit thin an d I could hear some noise outside. Housekeeping service was fine. We had four rooms and no one had any troubles. The free brekafast was okay. There was plenty to pick from, not just coffee and rolls. The breakfast area was large and comfortable. The best part about this place is that it is located closer to the parks than two of the three Disney hotels and is right at the stop light where you walk across to the parks. You will find the BW Park Place Inn three quaters of the way across the bottom of the photo. I liked the room decore a lot and recommend the place but will return to the HoJo as it is my favorite.

We stayed there a couple years ago and liked it. It is right at the pedestrian crosswalk to Disneyland. And the room was large sized with a half wall and couch, chair and table in the "living area". They also had a refrigerator, a microwave and a coffeemaker - the latter is a must for DH. The room was clean, and although I didn't like being on the lower floor, it was fine. The pool was smallish, but only DH swam. We didn't get the continental breakfast but did eat at the restaurant and that was fine. I don't know anything about the price compared to the other hotels as we tend to do southwest air packages.
I don't think I've seen a negative review of Best Western Park Place Inn.

We usually stay at Hawthorn Suites. We always get great deals through expedia.com....$58 for a two room suite. You get free breakfast...nothing fancy, but more than the contenental type deal. We've been perfectly happy there and will continue to go there. The room we get has a jetted tub in it, which I frickin' love! The suite is perfect for up to six people. If you have young children, you could probably comfortably get even more in, depending on what the hotel rules are. There are two beds in the bedroom, a sofa bed in the living area, two TV's and a large bathroom. We always have four in our party, so it's really very nice. I'm very much the type who would rather save money on the hotel and have more to spend on toys and good food at Disneyland! :D

We stayed here a few years ago because of the location and did not like it. We found it very depressing although the rooms were big. Pool was pretty bad, breakfast was pretty good. We liked the West Coast Anaheim. When we go in June this year we want to stay on site (if discounted) or maybe HOJO. Also did not like Homewood Suites....just wanted to put in my 2 cents.

We love BW Park Place! The staff there is great, the rooms are spacious and have a nice size fridge and there's a microwave. There was plenty of storage room for us. The breakfast is basic but good and the location can't be beat!!!

BW Park Place and Hojo's are my favorite Harbor stays! princess:
