I noticed that there's not a forum for BG on the Disboards so I'm hoping that many of you have went there and can tell me about it.

We have a big trip planned this summer. Going to WDW for 8 days, then Discovery cove on one of our Disney rest days. Then Seaworld was running their "buy 3 days & get 2 free" so I booked Residence Inn and we're doing SeaWorld and Aquatica since it came with the package. Now that Leaves Busch Gardens that I can get free with my Discovery Cove admission.

I need to know about it. It will be me, DH, DS9, and DS2. Will there be plenty to keep my two year old busy? What about the shows, are they any good? Tell me any of the "don't miss" things to do and any good places to eat.

Thanks!!!

I have never been to the one in Tampa so sorry I can't help u there but wanted to let you know you might want to go ahead and post your question on the Sea World board under the Universal Orlando side of the board. I see lots of questions and answers about BG there. Hope I was at least a tiny bit helpful hehe..

They have a whole younger kid area called the Land of the Dragon. That area will keep them entained. It also has a water area for the kids to play in.

If you're into roller coasters than Sheikra is a must. Face down drop... priceless!

We loved our trip over to BG. Our oldest 2 love rides and they had a blast with all the coasters there. Our youngest has never been crazy about rides, but he is an animal lover, so he and I spent a lot of time hanging out at the animal exhibits waiting on the others to ride. Lory Landing was one of the highlights of the entire trip for him.

I would not hesitate to spend another day at BG. We thought it was definitely worth the drive. The only show we saw was the 3D one. It was ok...the kids really liked it...but I think they've changed it to something different now. There were several street performances that we caught all throughout the park that were very entertaining.

As for the food, DH and the kids all agreed that the Stanleyville Smokehouse was the best theme park food they had ever had...but they all love bbq...may not be so great for someone who doesn't.

Make sure you go to the show in the (not sure of the name) it is the big building when you go in and make a right... it is a great show and always a nice place to catch some AC when you are overheated.... also like the PP said the Stanely smokehouse is good BBQ... I haven't been then in a few years but I would love to go back.... might have to to there next week when I have to stay in Tampa for school... if I go then I will give you the update.... Have fun
