So glad to see a fellow South Louisiana gal on the board. We will also be driving the 12 hours to Disneyworld, right after school ends. But we will leave early Saturday morning. Do you find the kids actually "sleep" during the night while you are driving? My 12 year old tends to stay awake most of the night, while my 10 year old crashes. LOL

When we went in 08, both of the kiddos slept through the night. We did make sure we had them busy all day, so they would be extra tired. They are 10 and 8 for this trip, so I am hoping they will sleep through the night again.

We are really looking forward to surprising the kiddos with our Christmas trip. But we are so ready for June to get here!!!

Our June Disney trip is PAID IN FULL!!! What a great feeling!
I have also been slowly buying some WDW clothes and things for our trip. Most recently we got our new park bag that I am so excited to get in. We got the Heys Travelmate bag. I think it is going to work great. We will bring our bag we used last time for backup just in case. We also have ordered the kiddos a Mickey messenger bag from Disney Store online for their backseat bag. I have been picking up coloring books, word search books, journals, and other things for them to have on the drive. I also ordered some more Disney shirts. I think we have almost everything we need! Just a few more things! I am really excited about the Starbucks instant iced coffee packets I picked up at Sam's the other day. They had samples and it actually tasted pretty good, so I picked up a 10 pack for $9 and then she gave me two free ones! Bonus!! I will post a pic of our bag once it comes in.
We are thinking of prepaying for the Photopass CD??? Any thoughts or suggestions? Has anyone every done it before?

Well, we are getting to almost less than 30 days!!! I am so ready to go!
I feel like I have been neglecting my PTR, but we have been just super busy. I wanted to make a countdown poster with the mickey heads I got from Home Depot, but alas, time was not on my side. So instead I decided to still use the mickey heads as tokens to count down the days, but with a little twist. Starting Friday, we will have a trivia question each day and the child who gets the correct answer will get to place the mickey head in their Disney Fund Jar. (Side note: we all have a jar with our names on it where we can put any spare change or cash in to save up for our spending money for our trip. This kiddos have loved being able to see their savings and are already plotting what they are going to spend it on.) Each mickey head is worth $1 and the last 5 days, those will be worth $5. I also will add to the game that if they both get the answer right, the mickey head will be added to the next day's total until someone misses it. I tried to find easy or somewhat easy questions for them and made them multiple choice so they could at least guess. I am really excited to start that this Friday.
We are also planning on starting our Disney Friday Movie night to count down to our trip also, so everything will kick off this Friday!
I need to figure out what movies for us to watch to really get ready!!!
I think this Friday will be Pirates of the Carribean since the new one is coming out soon and well.....I love Johnny Depp!!!!
Does anyone have any other suggestions? I would love to hear them.
I am hoping this weekend to post some pics of the bags the Easter bunny got DD and DS and some of the other Disney finds that I have found.

Wow...we are only a few days away from leaving and I am realizing that this ptr was been seriously neglected!!! I will chalk it up to end of school madness. I made it through my first year of teaching alive!!! Put those last couple of weeks were tough. But summer is here and Disney here we come!!!
Updates that have been made:
We have changed our ADR for The Wave on our first full park day to Kona Cafe. I keep looking at the menu for the Wave and nothing jumped out and said YUMMY. So, after discussing with DH, we decided on Kona and I am really looking forward to eating there.
We are also thinking about adding one day to our park passes for our last day. We were planning on just checking out and driving straight home (12 hours), but we are playing with the idea of having another day in the parks and driving to Tallahassee and spending the night there and drive home the next day.
Today's plan is to continue to clean up the house and get laundry done. I love to come home to a nice clean and laundry free house. The kiddos are spending the night at my mom's tonight and my in-laws tomorrow night so we can really get everything together and they can spend some time with their grandparents before we head out.
So ready to just hit the road!!!
