Please Take Advantage of Photopass

We just returned after a wonderful stay. Unfortunately, we left the digital camcorder filled with priceless moments on the plane. There were some wonderful pictures of our 7 months old son with Pooh and Tigger, and our older boys with a Power Ranger. If not for a dozen or so pictures taken on the photopass, we would have nothing to show our infant son later on. So take advantage of the photopass, as an insurance if for nothing else.

Oh, I'm so sorry!! Have you been checking to see if it's been found?

We love the fastpass. Last time we used it for all of our characters and the park icons. We didn't use our camera for those things. I was planning on buying the CD when we got home so for, $100 I wanted to get all the photos I could!

oooh....very cool....I didn't know that they were allowing you to purchase a CD now. You bet I'm going to track down every CM photographer that I can! They always take better photos than me anyway!

Good thing to think about it being insurance too.....I would just die if I lost all of my photos. Thank goodness for photo pass!

We called the lost and found as soon as we realized of the loss. That was 3 days ago, and we haven't heard anything. DH even sent an e-mail to the airline with an offer of reward.

I didn't know we could buy the CD. I'll definitely look into that. Thank you, Sparkles. :wave2:

I'm really sorry you forgot your camcorder on the plane. But for us, photopass and all that goes with it is a bit much. All those people wanting to take your picture and the prices of the pictures doesn't entice me at all. How about a small pocketable still camera that you can pack in your carryon so it won't get left behind.

Oh no! That is just terrible. I'm glad you have some pictures to show for your trip though.

We dropped our digital camera on the first day of our trip and without knowing it we continued to take pictures only to find out when we got home that they were too dark to use. It was heart breaking but we too were saved by a precious few photopass pictures! Anyway, I feel your pain.

Looks like you just need to book another trip soon. :thumbsup2

Jeff, not only will I bring a disposable camera, but DH and I will be using both our cell phones to take pictures. :teeth:

That's exactly what I said to DH! :lmao:

I am so sorry to hear that. That is awful. I really hope that somebody calls you from the airline.

I am so sorry to hear about your pictures. This was the first time we took advantage of the CD. We had 63 pictures on it after 8 days in the parks. It did come in handy because we could video the character interaction while the photopass people took pictures. One time, DH had the camera with DS4 and while I stayed with DS10 months and helooked so cute with cookie all over his face, I flagged down a photopass photographer to take his picture for me. It did come in handy. It was a $100 well spent with two children since I didn't buy any of the pictures from Disney, just printed them off at home.

I am sorry to hear about your pictures. I could just imagine if that would have happened to me. I would just die. But I do agree 101% percent about taking adventage of the photopass. Its free until you see the picture you want to buy. Its a little bit expensive but for me its worth it. I am glad you got to take picture from Photopass. At least you have another reason to take another vacation.

We will be visiting WDW for the first time since they've started the photopass program. Can someone tell me more about it? Do you pay for the whole thing or for individual pictures? Do they give you a web site you preview or something? Are they using it for the pictures on the attractions like Splash Mtn? We have a pretty decent digital camera we'll use but I'm wondering about the advantages of this. Thanks!!! :smickey:

You can pay for individual pictures($12.95 each) or buy the whole CD of pictures for $100. They do give you a website to preview. You can add borders or things like Mickey's autograph on a picture of Mickey. I don't know if the pictures with the add ons can be put on a CDs. We didn't go on Splash Mountain, but we had our Fast Track picture put on photopass. I know TOT couldn't be put on photopass. Personally, I would bring your camera with you anyway. There aren't always photographers around for characters(if you want those pics). Also, sometimes you have to wait for your turn too(what a shock;)). We took 600+ photos plus almost 50 on photopass. I would ask them to take pictures when ever I saw them, but I like having the option of taking my own pictures of what I want when I want! Hope this helps some. :)
