I am the same way!! I just got back from a 20 day trip to Disneyworld a month ago....I will be at DisneyLand in just over a week...I have an 8 day trip booked for Feb 2009 already at the Beach Club...and am calling tomorrow to book a trip for July 2009 for 12 nights..(also am thinking of adding 7 cash nights at beginning of that trip)...did I mention I get REALLY good use out of our PAP's???

I am right there with you lol! I am finishing up my planning for next months trip to WDW. I have a 17 night trip in the works for June that I made reservatins for last week. Now, to add to the mix, I am sitting here tonight trying to figure out a way to go to Disneyland next October with a combo of DVC points and some cash nights! My head is spinning and I have little pieces of paper with various scenarios all over my desk. My poor husband just tunes me out half the time, he can't keep up with it. But he loves taking the trips I plan!

We are a funny bunch but there are surely worse things we could be doing.

I spent 4 hours learning formulas in Excel. Here's what I was trying to accomplish:

I wanted to figure out if/how I could use a 50 point BVC contract to vacation about every 1 1/2 years. I wanted to go in May (5-night; Sun-Thurs) in a 1br and Oct (5-night; Sun-Thurs) in a studio. It would be alternating every other May and every other Oct. It worked out perfectly with banking the 1st 50 then borrowing the following 40 = 140 (May BVC 1br Sun-Thurs.) And then banking the remaining 10 and adding it to the 50 = 60 (Oct BVC Stu Sun-Thurs). Then starting all over.

Here's the kicker:

We don't even own DVC!

I'm hoping to make that spreadsheet a reality in the semi-near future.

Ok, this is REALLY Hysterical!! I've been know to plan 3 trips at once..right now we just got back in August, are goin for 8 days in December and I am planning a 40th b-day trip for my DH in June of 2009 for 10 days. We also stretch things out with cash and I have booked cash nights one week before our departure date to stretch it out just a few extra nights. My DH will also get a little inkling during the winter to grab a quick trip with just 3 weeks notice......my co-workers think I'm nuts...

AMEN!!! I'm Tinkerbellcrafters DH (see above post) and she hasn't told you the half of it. We have been know to spend an entire day off together on our computers, with multiple windows open, figuring out points, flights, ADRs, rental car, passholder rates, etc...
She's so good that she puts it into a spreadsheet that is put into my Treo so that we always have all our info at our fingertips!!!

So, is it addictive? YES!! Is it a hobby? YES!! Is it therapy? YES!!! But in the end is it a whole lotta fun? OH YES!!!!

You sound like me...we had not even left for our 14 day July trip and I was planning ADR's for Nov. Get back from July trip and at first I was like "oh we probably shouldn't go in Nov, we spent so much money" Then within like a few days of saying that.....I wanted to add on, then I thought I had been talked down from that and BAM BOUGHT 100 PONTS AT AKV anyway. Arrived home on Aug. 2nd and bought 100 more pionts on Aug. 22nd. Do you see where I am going with this???? I am just NUTS!! Oh we did the same thing for our summer trip....added 4 cash nights to stretch that trip to 2 weeks. Now I have 400 points and I AM ONCE AGAIN TALKING CASH NIGHTS. I need to GET SOME SERIOUS THERAPY.

I have not even finished FINALIZING my ADR's for Nov. and I am planning next summer's trip.

Just now I sat down with paper and pen and figured out a lot of scenarios using a certain amt. of days staying at BCV, AKV and Vero in a combo of ways. I did anywhere from 9 nights til 12. with and without a cash night to S T R E T C H the trip, with and without staying at AKV. JUST CRAZINESS. I have lost my EVER LOVING DISNEY MIND. First I come back from our 2 week trip in Aug. and VOW TO NEVER GO FOR A LONG TRIP LIKE THAT IN THE NEAR FUTURE, not because we didn't love it, but just because we spent so much money and we really don't need to go for 2 weeks again. So for next summer I was thinking 8 nights 9 TOPS for next July. Now I am putting pen to paper figuring out ways to stay at all three resorts or maybe just two, and if just two...how many nights on points at each, with and without cash nights.

I have a 7 night trip in Nov. and I have not finished planning that one. GOOD GRIEF what am I thinking??

I'm glad I'm not alone. I love doing all this planning. I'm working on our trip for December 2009 now. Just trying to decide what meal plan we want and where to eat. I know I'm a little early but...........

NOTEBOOKS!!!! Usually Tinkerbell or Pirates... She also has all old trip info (including every receipt) in their own individual folders so we can reference back if needed.
