Okay, as you know I am trying to renew my APs, before my trip in 3 weeks time.

Reading old threads I see that other people did theirs over the phone, so I have been trying to find a phone number to do this - or at least get advice from them about how else to do it.

I have found several phone numbers:
First number, a French woman asked where I was from and then put me straight through to normal booking number....prolonged wait... had to give up
Second number cut me off before I spoke to a real person
Third number, I spoke to a person who said she would put me through to Annual Passes and then she cut me off.

I tried phoning the normal booking number to get the AP office number, only to be told there was NO phone number for the AP office. :confused3 She would give me an address to write to, but I don't think I have time to write to them to ask them what I need to do and them to reply and me to sort it all out by my trip.
She kept saying to me "they have written to you, yes, to say you must renew?" and I would say "no they haven't" She would then say "but you have the letter that tells you to renew?" It went round in circles for a while.

Any thoughts, oh wise Disers about what I should do? Any other numbers you can think of to phone?
If I don't renew before I check in at the DLH they told me they will charge me the full price. :scared:

can you renew by phone. Ive heard of people renewing by post but how would they do it over the phone? Have you sponsors to renew automatically or are you paying?

Could you not tell them at DLH you are renewing that day and then show them AP as you dont pay anything extra you owe til you leave anyhow

I was hoping I could just give my credit card number over the phone and they would just send me them - bit hopeful, I suppose.

The thing with the hotel is, they gave me a discount when I booked. He took my AP number and then said "but this is due to expire before you come here" and I said "I will renew it" and that's when he said he would let me have the discount, but if I didn't renew before checking in, then they would charge me the full price.

we've never shown our AP when booking in any where. I think he was possibly saying that to you to make sure you definitely renewed it. I really dont think they will check - but wouldnt like to say definitely

I fax'd them last year to 'renew' our APs (they'd actually expired a couple months prior).

The fax number I used was: +33 1 64742217

I faxed them a letter explain that my AP's had expired and that I was looking to 'renew' them. I also explain that I was looking to make use of my shareholders discount and family discount when making the payment.

I then listed the details from the AP's along with my shareholder club details.

Couple hours after receiving my fax someone from the AP office call me at home to discuss and take payment - and then within 7 days I had new AP's - not temporary ones - but real ones! (they just used the old pictures).

Regards

Iain

Iain, did you know I love you? :rotfl: Thank you very very much - I shall try that tomorrow.

Your Welcome - although can you let me know how you get on please because I'm planning on repeating the 'trick' in October.

Thanks

Iain

I'm sorry you had no luck phoning them. It can be frustrating. I'm actually amazed anyone gets AP discounts cause I find the process of ringing and asking about discounts traumatising. :lmao: I did at least have my AP question answered.

I'll be there next weekend - my first park day is Sunday. Can I do anything for you? Do you want me to go in to the AP office and ask them what you need to do? Or if you want to type out the details and email them to me I can print it out and pass it on maybe? I'll probably have to go in there anyway cause my son's AP still hasn't turned up. But even if it does I don't mind going in there at all. I could email you on Sunday night and let you know how I get on.

Deb, I officially love you too. That is really very kind of you. :flower3: :flower3: :flower3:

I decided to try email last night and came home at lunchtime to see if that did any good, before trying fax in work this afternoon.

I had a lovely reply from them, giving me the phone number to go straight through to AP office, where a nice nice nice lady helped me and we did it all over the phone. :cool1:

I got 18 months for the price of 12, although I couldn't have shareholder discount as well, but the extra months were worth more. So now, it is just fingers crossed they arrive in time.

Thanks again for the help and support. I love the internet as well.

Ooops forgot to say.....Deb have a fantastic time. :cool1:
