We typically don't eat at counter service restaurants in World Showcase (we're usually too stuffed from lunch at our favorite Le Cellier to eat dinner, LOL!), but we want to try it on our January trip. I would love to hear about your experiences, good and bad. What are your recommendations and places to avoid? Do share. :)

The Yakatori House in Japan is a HUGE thumbs up for us. We actually like it better than Mitsukoshi.

Yakitori house is also our favorite, to the point where we go nearly every visit.

We have eaten at only 3-Mexico kids liked it we do not have anything, Morrocco-we had a platter it was very good, & Great Britain the fish & chips place, we liked it.

All of our Epcot counter service experiences have been good so far.

We really love Boulangerie Patisserie in France, so much so that we usually eat there a couple of times each trip. We really like the ham and cheese croissants and the ham and cheese quiche, plus the desserts are fantastic.

We've been to Cantina de San Angel twice and had good meals both times.

We've also been to Yorkshire County in Great Britain for fish and chips twice and really liked it a lot.

We tried Yakitori last trip and it was really, really good. We'll definitely be back!

We really enjoy the fish and chips in Great Britain. Also, the bakery in Norway is FABULOUS!

We were disappointed with the meatball/rice platter we tried in Morocco on our last trip--everything was kind of mushy and bland. We may try something else there in the future. Also, we didn't care for the counter service in China (greasy, gristly meat, too-sweet sauce) but that was a couple of years ago so hopefully they've improved by now.

At the risk of sounding like a broken record, the Schwaarma platters at the Tangierine Cafe are delicious, and we could easily have split one. We also love the outdoor eating area there.

Boulangerie Patisserie is good also, but it's a challenge to focus on the lunch food when there are all those amazing dessert temptations!

We loved the fish and chips at Yorkshire County as well.

Our favorite place for dessert is the Kringla Bakeri in Norway. We love the School Bread, Kringla with Almonds, Strawberry Cream Cake and Raspberry Cheesecake. Boulangerie Patisserie is also a great choice lots of yummy Eclairs and Fruit tarts, plus great fresh fruit plates and quiche for lighter meal choices.

Thanks for the reviews!

Tangerine cafe-exactly what I was thinking! Both DH and I like our food, and we were full after sharing a Shwarma Platter. As far as Boulangerie Patisserie, aren't pastries lunch food? Two or three pastries make a great meal!
