I am interested in how others with the QSDP have utilized their snack credits for breakfast. We are planning on either making a grocery stop to Publix or ordering through Garden Grocer to get bottled water, juice boxes, and some breakfast foods; but I want to spend as little extra money on food as possible since we will have the QSDP with two cs meals and two snack credits per person (except my DS2) per day. Secondly, can you get waffles in the food court with a snack credit or is that considered a meal credit? Thanks :thumbsup2

I think waffles is a CS meal. We did things for the girls like a muffin or danish type stuff. Dh and I don't do breakfest we are early luch eaters. Usually my girls just shared a muffin or danish and a large choclate milk. We used 2 credits in the morning and we still had plenty of snacks and meals left in the end. We did 2 ts meals OP so sometimes we would use the left over CS meal and get them a breakfest platter to share also. We are on the QSDP this time again we loved it.

HUGE cinnamon roll at MK main street bakery is DH favorite, we also do at least one Starring rolls @ DHS I could eat the yummy chocolate croissants every day.

I second the cinamon rolls from Main St Bakery - just bring a container with you to the park and grab one on your way out - warm it up in the morning - YUMMY! They also have muffins that are big enough for breakfast.

I also hate spending $$ when on the dining plan, so we always bring a box or two of cereal in our luggage and just get some milk at the food court. Between a bowl of cereal and a muffin or bagel, we're all set.

Another thought is that if you don't really want 2 desserts for your other meals during the day - ask for a 'dessert' of fruit instead and then save this for your breakfast the next morning.

muffins, bagels or a small fruit salad are about your best choices. We brought with us breakfast granola bars from home. We would have an early lunch (less crowded) and we were satisfied and had a normal dinner time.

There are a few CS meals that are huge like the chicken and rib combo at Cosmic Ray's in MK. If you split that meal then you will have some extra credits later in your trip for getting a breakfast CS meal and sharing it, too.
There are some bigger meal in Sunshine Seasons in the the Land at Epcot that can be shared, too. Take a look at the menus and get the biggest meals possible wherever you want to go and share them.

thank you, we will try this as well. If we can just pack a few bags of cereal and bagels and just order milk and case of water then I think we won't spend so much OOP when we will have the QSDP.

BTW, we spent $0 oop on the QSDP, shared many many meals, and wound up with more letover at the end than we do on the regular DDP. We shared lots of CS breakfast, the tonga toast & bacon at the poly is our fav!

This is what I have heard a lot of people say. My DH (who is a big & tall guy and a big eater) is concerned that with the QSDP we aren't getting "3" meals a day and that DS2 (who eats as much as our DD4) isn't able to get the plan, so I am trying to make sure we have all our bases covered. I don't want to waste money by buying a bunch of extra food and end up having a lot of unused meal/snack credits, nor do we want to be in a situation where we don't have enough for all six of us to eat well.

When we went 2 years ago...the smoothies at Main Street Bakery were a snack credit OR counted as a drink at breakfast.
So for breakfast, DH, DS (Almost 3 at the time) and I shared one counter service b/c the smoothie basically filled up me and DS

DH liked the smoothie so much that he had that for lunch that day (using a snack credit).

And I can't remember the name of it, but when we went to Epcot, we got that pastry thing from Norway and I just stuck it in the cooler (we had a small, soft cooler with ice and drinks on our stroller), then I put it in the fridge when we got back to the room and it was a great breakfast the next day.

A bowl of oatmeal or grits is a snack. I always get this. Also biscuits with sausage gravy is a snack. You'll get a plate with 2 biscuits with tons of gray on them. You'll find these at your resort's counterservice. The muffins and turnovers are really, really good also. My kids always get hotchocolate in their mugs for breakfast. The QS plan has More than enough food.

We usually do the cinnamon bun at the resort, some fruit is also snack credits too.

I agree the cinnamon buns at MK are big enough for two. But bring some wipes, they are drippy goodness, but messy!

We usually did bagels or muffins for breakfast snack credits. If you want to use a CS for breakfast on MK day...you can use a snack credit to get a sandwich at the Main Street Bakery for lunch (big sandwich...mom and I shared this one day for 'breakfast'). Then we used a snack credit for a bottled pop that lasted me for the day between meals. Just another thought if you like bigger breakfasts and lighter mid day meals.

You are going to think I am crazy but is vacation and we only go once every few years so I let my kids have anything they want pretty much. Using snack credits at the main street bakery is great!

are those ham and cheese croissants at the main street bakery or is it in France considered a snack?

With the mugs kids can have hot chocolate plus a muffin or danish. I had coffee and a danish or croissant.

It was fine for somedays. We were on dxdp so we did this so we could do sigs or dining shows. We also did some character meals.

Beignets at POFQ, we got milk/cereal for a snack credit 2 years ago (not sure if you still can), muffins, bagels. We also used a CS credit to share some breakfast stuff.

Like kaybird, we spent $0 out of pocket and had plenty to eat. My DH is a big eater and he never went hungry. We actually had snack credits to use up at the end. We find that we are less hungry while at Disney - I guess b/c we are too busy having fun!!
