Please school me on Cali Grill and fireworks

I just found a dinner ressie at Cali for 9:15; hallowishes is scheduled at 9:30.

We are a party of 3.

How is the viewing from inside the restaurant?
Would we be likely to get a window table?
Could we get up to view from the balcony if that would be a better spot?

Most of the tables/seats do NOT face windows. You can go out on the private balcony to view, however.

No, as most of the tables/seating do not face the windows well.

Yes, that is the main way most people view fireworks from CG.

Frankly, with an ADR at 9:15, you will not be seated until after the fireworks anyway, so the "window table" question is irrelevant. You will be able to go out on the balcony to view the fireworks, and should not expect to be seated until ~10PM.

We were just there, although our ADR was for earlier.

Few tables will have a direct view. However, staff are used to having guests get up and watch and then come back to the table.

We had our dinner early then came back to watch. If I were to do it all over again I would choose an 8 pm reservation then come back for wishes.

However - we were staying at the CR so it would have been easy for us.


FYI - you check in on the 2nd floor then take a special elevator to the 15th. You can't just get to the 15th on your own - there is a cast member who takes you up. And the reverse is true, too. You can only go back down to the 2nd floor when you are done. I didn't know that beforehand.

Thanks. Maybe have to try and move ours up. We have a 9:10 because I though fireworks were 10. Still may work because we wantes to go to the balcony. I don't want a window seat after our experience with one years ago. We had two little kids all over our table hanging on the back of our chairs. We eventually had to ask their parents to get them when they got grabby with things ok our table.
