Will be at WDW during the free dining plan. Have my ADRs lined up including Le Celliers, Boma, 50s Prime Time, CRT, Chef Mickey, Ohana, and Marrakesh. I pretty consistently see comments about all of these places except for Marrekesh. We are intrigued by the atmosphere, but if the food is bad . . . well, you know. I'm looking for some feedback concerning the Moroccan restaurant. Any adventurous eaters out there? Thanks.

I thought the food was great. We split some kind of Kings/Crown Feast, which included a variety of appitizers, entrees and desserts. The belly dancer "danced" around all the tables; the place was a little less than 1/2 full. If I had room to add Marrekesh into our trip this year, I would.

One of the best meals I've ever had! :thumbsup2 We've actully eaten there twice, and are planning to go again in August. I think DH and I got the Royal Feast or something last time. The food was fabulous, I can't say it enough!!! I even tried lamb for the first time.

We like it. It might be a little disconcerting at first to have powdered sugar and cinnamon on your chicken, but it actually works.

The food is gently spiced - not as in "hot," - just spiced. And the lamb is fork tender and juicy. We had the Royal Feast, which is a little of everything, and weren't sorry. It may have just been our waiter, but we had some of the best service we've ever had in an Epcot restaurant, too.

Here's a menu, if you haven't checked it out:

DBF and I had a good time there last January. The ambiance is incredible, as was our waiter. DBF was captivated by the bellydancer (although I kinda got slightly annoyed after two days of him talking about her, lol) and I enjoyed watching her interact with the little girl she brought up to dance. The food wasn't as incredible as the setting, but it was definitely good- just a little less spiced than we're used to for middle eastern food- but we live in Northern VA so we have a bit more experience with ethnic food than someone from the midwest. We would definitely go back, although not on every trip necessarily.

We love to eat there!! Its one of our favorite restaurants in all of Disney World!!! We love the food and we love the atmosphere. Most of all, we love the service that you get at the restaurant. We eat there everytime we go down to Florida and the waiters are always extra attentive and super nice. In fact, over the past year or so we have become friends with a lot of the Moroccans in the pavilion (thanks mainly to my daughter) and I can assure you that they are all some of the nicest people you will meet. For us, it is this incredible service and hospitality combined with the delicious food that makes it one of our favorite places to eat at WDW! ::MinnieMo ::MinnieMo ::MinnieMo ::MinnieMo

I wasn't too impressed with this restaurant. We were celebrating my dd7's bday at WDW and this was the restaurant she picked. We probably won't go here again. For some reason, it was jammed packed that night and there wasn't an empty table in the restaurant! The belly dancer was fun to watch, but it wasn't anything special. The tables were so close to each other, that I felt we were dining with other people..lol.

I had the salmon and it was ok...not the best thing I've eaten, just ok. I don't remember what the kids had, probably mac n cheese and they liked it.

We are trying to get to every restaurant at WS and so far, this one is on the bottom of our list.

This restaurant did not "wow" me. Of course, for some reason I had a bit of motion sickness during the meal. I had gone on Spaceship Earth right before and for some reason it set off a bit of vertigo, so I didn't feel right through the meal.

First I ordered some of the Brewat things everyone raves about. They were a pastry thing filled with meat with some sugar on top. I thought that were horrible.

I can't even remember my entree. My parents enjoyed theirs (I think it was one of the feasts) and the two teenagers with us ordered chicken kabobs and they were pretty good.

But nothing was astounding. I also didn't care for the atmosphere here. The tables were small wooden things, uncomfortable and there was just nothing spectacular.

Having said all that, I did not *hate* it and I might give it one more try.

It is the only place I've eaten at WDW as far as table service that we won't go back to.

Meat and 3 quality bland chicken. The secret ingredient in the Lemon Chicken was Lemon. Of course the fact that they didn't even get it cooked the first time didn't help. The Kabobs had tomato sauce watered down on em. No spice. And they were dry as could be. The Burger and fries were barely touched by the kid. C'mon if a kid leaves burger and fries...The only entree that was anything was the lamb. And you just can't mess up lamb unless you burn it or serve it raw. It was non-spiced too. But Lamb does have its own flavor. And thankfully, they didn't mess it up. The Service was adequate but not memorably good.
The appetizers were good, the Crepe's Atlas excellent. Loved it. I'd certainly duck in for the crepes atlas if they weren't busy. The Band was good but their set short. The Belly dancer was great and great with the kids. But in the end, that wasn't enough to save it.

If you want Morrocan, I suggest the counter. Yummy stuff there. Yummy stuff.

Us too, and Ours too. But we haven't gotten to San Angel, nor 9 dragons yet and those get low marks.

I absolutely agree. We dined at Marakesh on Easter and it was our first and last time.I got Lemon chicken which was very dry and tasteless.DH got a sampling of 3 dishes and the chickn kabob he got was also very dry but the lamb was ok.DD got vegetarian couscous and it was awful. The Belly dancer had just finished when we arrived. She started again just before we left but a couple rude families left thier tables and stood in front of ourss pushing thier toddlers up on dace floor. It was the worst and one of the more expensive dining experiences in Diasney we have ever had.We got lunch at Tangerine CS the next day and it was terrific. The belly dancer (same one) was performing in front of the fountain and it was free. If I had only known before we wasted the money on Marakesh. I dont know if going on a holiday when it was booked solid was what made it worse or if people who rave about it just dont get out much.My first thought when I read about fabulous meal at this restaurant is where and what do you usually eat if you would consider this excellent dining experience? DD summed it up: Yucky!

We really enjoyed the food there. The spicing was perfect. We had the Royal feast. It gives you a taste of everything. We will be going back on this trip.

Marrakesh is my DBF and I's special restaurant that we go to at least once a month. We love it there! The vegetable couscous mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!!!

We really enjoyed our meal there - we both got a feast and it was really good. I will say that I think the Tangerine Cafe is just as good for a fraction of the cost but of course it's not a table service. We now just dine there (but I also won't repeat a WS restaurant until I've eaten at them all).

I thought the ambience was a nice break from the park, service was good, and the belly dancer and band were excellent.
