Please remind me how Webcertificates work

The last time I used WC I was cashing in points from My Points and Freeride and then going to the Disney Store to get Disney Dollars. If I remember correctly, there was some major rule that you could just spend the amount of the card or under - never over the balance and pay the difference in cash, correct? Has this changed? Does my purchase that will go on the card have to be the exact amount of the card or under with no balance to pay in person?

I don't think you can go over your balance, however you can add money to your account for a small fee. You can check out all their rules/regs at www.webcertificate.com. Look for the link that has Frequently Asked Questions.

I have used mine (plastic card) to purchase Disney Dollars. I was buying more than what was on my WC, and the CM just charged the rest to my Disney Visa. (The first time I used my WC, the CM rang each card up as separate purchases, but the second time the CM just ran one card through and then the other.)

Thanks so much. I thought I remembered that in the past if you tried to purchase something for more than the card held it would void out your purchase instead of letting you pay the difference.

Well I knew exactly how much was on my card, and said "put $X on this card and the rest on my Disney Visa." I don't know what would happen if they tried to charge more than the balance to my WC card.
