So many, ourselves here on the DIS, in our real lives, our families, our friends, co-workers, everywhere, have been touched by this disease, breast cancer. I know of many here on the DIS, directly touched, themselves, their families. Some are current survivors, in remission, as is my wife, Marie, Lady M. Others are in treatment, making headway, progress towards remission,
and still others have passed. <img width=30 src=http://www.dmurphydis2.com/Misc/sylvia3.gif>
October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Do yourself a favor. I know, sounds cliché, but so true. If you have never had a mammogram, schedule one, this month. If you have had in the past, and more than a year, get this years scheduled, now, this month. Yeah, it's a pain, not comfortable (though many say a lot less than anticipated), time out of the day, waiting for the results, maybe a bit worried in the wait too. But so worth it if something is amiss, and so comforting if nothing is. It is treatable, you can save a life, maybe yours, a family member, a friend.
Those who have been touched by breast cancer, themselves, family, friends, maybe if you could share a thought here, to encourage others. We need to help others remain healthy. Go yourself, encourage a family member, we can help make it a wonderful world for so many.
What a wonderful world.

Please do schedule a mammogram. My sister was 32 when she found a lump by accident. It goes to show you are never too young. (Luckly it turned out to be nothing more than a fatty tumor. But at least she had it checked, and because she did find a lump the doctor told her she would have to be more aware of her breast from now on).

You wasted to time with this reminder!!

Made a boo-boo!! You caught me Dan! It took me 3 times reading your reply to figure out what you were talking about..............I think my brain is fried at the moment!!
