I just moved back to MN and winter is fast approaching. I need a good pair of boots to keep my feet dry and warm. I don't particularly care what brand they are, but they need to be warm, waterproof and durable. They also need to be available in a ladies size 11.

Any ideas? I have access to Walmart, Target, Kmart, Fleet Farm, and Menards as well as internet. Any budget-friendly suggestions?

Thanks!

Sorrell, look like they are good winter boots. They have lining's and are waterproof with rubberized bottoms..They have a web site and are sold other places as well..

I'm interested in hearing replies to this also. We're moving to northern Michigan (almost to the bridge) and we get a lot more snow there compared to Columbus, Ohio!

For playing outside with the kids I use Columbia bugaboo and for running errands I use Bare Traps faux fur-lined boots.

Yes, I have been looking for boots-Boots made in the USA. VERY hard to find Double H is one company still made here. I looked at Cabella's a few weeks ago and almost everything there (even Keen and other high end products were made in China. It's really something how not much is made here in the USA anymore. Any other brands that anyone knows of? Thanks

My fav winter boots are bogs they are waterproof and rated to negetave temps

Sorels are great- very warm, waterproof, great traction. I found some at Costco about 5 years ago for about $80. They are the Caribou style, which looks the same for men & women so you could buy a men's size if you can't find your women's size.

We are in Chicago, but my husband has family in Dearborn. We buy all our winter gear at the Columbia store in Windsor CA. If you go over the Ambassador bridge, it is in the same strip mall as the Zellers (which I call Canadian Kmart). It is probably less than 1/2 mile past where the bridge ends. We have always been very happy with all our purchases. We have to buy my husband a new pair this year, but the previous pair had been abused by him for at least 5 years. Of course deals are hit and miss, but is you are moving near the Mac, you will be spending a lot of time in "winter gear".

BOGS boots by far are the best all weather boots you can buy. They are great for rain and are insulated for winter -30 degree. I love mine and so does my five year old daughter. They are HARD to find.

I broke down and bought a pair of Bogs last winter - they are toasty warm, waterproof, easy to get on/off and cute! They dont have great support so I never wore them all day. This year I'm going to try to put my orthotics in them to give me more support.
But as far as what I need for getting around in the snow - they are perfect!
