Please recommend a coffee maker to me

Just a plain ole' drip coffee maker, with pause and serve, programmable. NOT the kind that grinds and brews. The main thing is that the plate keeps the coffee hot! DH likes a hot cup of coffee.

I HIGHLY recommend the Keurig coffee maker. It makes one cup at a time and the coffee is lip burning hot.

You also have a selection of over 200 coffees, teas and hot chocolate K-cups. Another plus is that you don't waste coffee because it sits around and gets bitter, etc. Its always fresh!!

I just bought a Krups coffee maker at Bed Bath & Beyond. It was $49 (I know, YIKES), but I had my coupons ready. It's programmable (I want coffee DONE when I get downstairs in the AM), it's a 12 cup maker, and you can program the "stay hot" part for up to 5 hours. I love it so far!

I have a cuisinart (not the grind and brew) and while it does get hot, it wasn't worth the money.

Krups, bunn or protor silex (if they still make those!)

I have had two Cuisinart coffee makers in the past 10 years (just bought the second one about 2 months ago). We love the second one that we just got because it has a caraffe.

Only problems was that it didn't have a caraffe and tall travel mugs didn't fit under the filling station.

It has an indicator that tells you when to clean the coffee maker and it has a metal caraffe that keeps the coffee warm for hours.

There is no perfect coffee maker. Go with what is important. Styling, functionality, and reliability were important in our most recent purchase. Hence the reason we chose what we chose.

If you can forego the programmable part, and you want something cheap that makes hot, hot coffee and keeps it that way, the Toastmaster coffee pots that Target puts on sale every once in a while for a whopping $5 can't be beat.

I use it at work and coffee brewed at 6:00 a.m. is still hot at 10:00 a.m.

DW and I recently bought a Hamilton Beach Brewstation. We love it. It doesn't have a carafe. Coffee is stored within the coffee maker itself, so the coffee stays nice and hot. There is no hot plate. It has a dispenser. Just put your cup under the spout, push and dispense. The coffee maker is programmable and since there is no carafe; you can dispense a cup of coffee while the coffee is brewing. Although it is a little pricey, we have found it to be well worth our money.

Mine is a Black & Decker HomeCafe single cup machine that uses pods. It's not fancy (or expensive), but I can have a fresh cup of coffee (even specialty coffees, teas, and cocoas any time I want.

I'm sipping iced tea I just made in it now. Hot, fresh coffee almost immediately. Also recommend picking up an insert to 'make your own k-cup' so if your fave coffee or tea isn't already made into k-cups.

I have a Gevalia I love. I'm not sure about pause and serve, because we always program it for before we get up, but the heating plate stays on for 2 hours from that time unless you turn it off manually. They usually run a deal that the machine is free if you are willing to buy the expensive coffee through the mail for a while.
