We are flying out at 7am on April 29 and I am looking to book a flight the night before. Thanks Kathy

We stay at the Fairfield Inn my Marriott when we go. The park and fly lot is right next door. I think if you book 14 days in advance you can get the cheap rate. It ended up saving us $50 in parking costs. We parked at the hotel for the night and then moved it first thing in the morning because we were going for 9 days. Our flight this year is late morning but we might park in that lot because it was cheaper than the big blue deck.

A street over there is a really good place to get takeout pizza, lasagna and other stuff called Cottage Inn. There is also a Tim Horton's right by it as well. If you want anymore info you can send me a pm.

I agree with Jen; it's a great place to stay. Parking is extremely convenient. It's also rated one of the top DTW-area hotels on tripadvisor.com (I think it's number 2).

Also, check out the sticky thread near the top of the board. There's a ton of good info there about flying from Detroit.

I booked the La Quinta that is right beside the parking spot

We also stayed at the Fairfield Inn when we went last year. The year before that we stayed at the LaQuinta. They were both good stays, and both had frequent shuttles to/from the airport and convenient park & fly parking, but the Fairfield was a much nicer hotel. I'm sure you would be happy with either choice.

We're using the Comfort Inn on Wickham road in Romulus on the 24th. It looked acceptable online, and included 7 nights parking. I believe the extra night of parking we needed was $6.

I stayed at the Best Western and they were VERY friendly and the shuttle was prompt both times. I will definitely be staying there again next time.

we stayed at the Crowne Plaza Detroit-Metro, the kids loved the pool. We got a stay and fly rate for parking which seemed pretty reasonable and very convenient. Really liked the hotel but no breakfast, brought our own cinnamon rolls instead.
