We are 28 days away from our trip to WDW. We received the Disney Visa free dining package and are choosing to stay at CBR. We chose this resort because we were going to upgrade from QS to regular DDP anyway, and the price difference for the whole trip was negligible to upgrade from a value to a mod ( I think it was $70 total).

We have always stayed at a value, and my kids LOVE the atmosphere there. We've never stayed at a mod, but I thought it would be cool to try something new. Now I'm really rethinking whether my kids will love it or not (they are 13 and 10, both girls).

Since it's too late to change based on the type of package we need, tell me all the GREAT things about CBR (please?!)!

Never regret your decisions . . .its always good to try different resorts and you cannot base another person's experience on what you will experience.:thumbsup2

That being said . . .I liked CBR, it was a nice change from the other mods with the tropical feel that I really like, without paying Poly prices . . .:)

I think your girls will really enjoy the pool and the food court is really good too.

Did you request a certain location? It's a large resort with an internal bus system . . .

We are also 28 days away from our trip too . . although the first few days we'll be at Universal/Sea World, then headed to the F&W Festival for the last 3 days . . . .:thumbsup2

Have a GREAT trip!

Hopefully this helps reassure you.
We have stayed there twice and love it. Actually the only reason we stayed at other Mods was because CBR didn't have availability on out arrival day.

We love the relaxed feel, the many quiet pools, the all over quiet feeleing at the resort. My daughter loves the themed pool at Old Port Royale.

I spend one afternoon eac h visit just walking around taking pictures. it really is a beautiful resort.

It's been awhile since our stay at CBR (2002), but I remember it like it was yesterday because we had such a great time :goodvibes. The atmosphere is beautiful, the pool is fun, the food court has a lot of variety, and the bus transportation was awesome (it's actually been the best transportation we've had among all of the resorts we've stayed at) :thumbsup2. Like the pp said, it's always nice to try new resorts. I think you'll have a great time and love the resort :).

My family love this resort!!! To me it's the best one!! The water slides are nice!! We are trying AoA this year but we will be back to CBR next year!!!

I can't wait! We're going to CBR in less than 48 hours!!!!! We've never been, but have been to various other Value and Mods. I have some nervousness and reservations, but overall can't wait to get there!

we stayed there in 2009. Loved the overall atmosphere, lush landscaping, steel drum music piped in, and some little things, like the staff dancing the macarena in the food court. Our room was spotless and the beds were comfy.
Enjoy your stay ::MinnieMo

I've stayed there 3 times, and I love it. It's a beautiful resort. Pretty beach with hammocks, a little tropical island to explore, and nice outdoor seating at the food court area. The main pool is huge, with a slide, and kids love it. Could hardly tear my grandkids away to go to the parks!
Hope you enjoy your stay! (I think you will)

We stayed there during our last trip. We really liked it, had no issues at all. Great grounds, I liked the colors and decor, of course it was very clean. My kids loved the pool and we loved the lake.

We just stayed at CBR from August 25th thru September 1st. This was our third visit and we love *everything* about the resort. The grounds are tropical and lovely, the pool is awesome, counter service options are plentiful, bus transportation was timely and the rooms are spacious. Very relaxing beautiful resort. Enjoy!

We do value resorts as well and did bump up to CBR once- It is very nice the one thing to be prepared for is the SIZE....it is a much bigger property which we were not prepared for. It was fun, we rented the bikes and the pool is amazing! It IS DISNEY....you will have a GREAT time. No worries!:woohoo:

We have stayed at CB a handful of times. The pirate themed pool SA is great for kids, and the quiet pools great for adults. It is a nice resort, and you will not be disappointed. Have a great vacation! :)

Thanks for all the reassurances. To the poster who asked about where we are staying, I can't remember the exact requests we made but it was the Jamaica and Martinique buildings that I found out on here were the closest non-preferred buildings!

The biggest "downfall" we hear about is the size; that's not a problem for us. In fact, one of the reasons we chose CBR over CSR was the running trails. My 13-year-old is a runner and will need to run 3 to 6 miles every day we're there. The size is actually a perk for us!

I spent my first Disney trips staying at the CBR (when it was brand new, I was 10) and have returned with my own kids as well. I have always loved CBR and my DH, who was reluctant to spend more money at a moderate, loved it as well.

The pool is awesome, especially compared to the Values' pools (we have also spent a few trips at Values). The food court is large and there are tons of options. The scenery is beautiful and there are tons of places to walk.

You will have a great time!

Have stayed at CBR twice! Love their pool! Food court is decent too. Would do again for the right price. :thumbsup2

Take a deep breath, enjoy your trip!

We will be there at the same time!

It is my first time at CBR, so like you I am a little nervous. I tell myself that no matter what, it's WDW, so why worry?

We've stayed value, mod, and deluxe and our family- kids included and we all LOVE CBR the best!!!! They have a path that goes around the water for your daughter to run on too- so she will be visible prob most of her run.

We had a great time during our stay at cbr. The grounds are beautiful, the rooms are large, and the pool is fantastic. We would gladly stay there again.

You will love CBR! We have stayed there so many times in the last 18 years and would not heistate to go back.

The last time we stayed was in Nov 2010. The resort is very big, the buses are not always the best but that can happen at any resort, the food court is great for breakfast. Love the village pools, they are almost always empty. Clean laundry rooms, super friendly staff. I know kids love the new water play area by the main pool....we love the pool bar!

CBR was honestly our least favorite resort, but there were lots of redeeming qualities, and of course, we still had an amazing trip!!! ::yes::
