Why don't some people care about others? Little kids....they die every day

I ran over a picture in a shopping mall. And it said, " every 15 seconds a child dies from not having clean water, shelter, food, and good care."

I know I shouldn't get myself into this. But why?

I don't understand...

People are just so selfish. They care about themselves and themselves only.

Little kids are dying out there while we having fun...

Why don't we give a helping hand?

Every month, I donate 100 dollars that I save up. I give 5 dollars to each charity I can think of.

Me and my 2 friends raised 1000 dollars for the Children's Miracle Network last year...
And we plan on raising money for seniors in our resting homes sometime during highschool.

So did my friends and I. It was a lot of work but it was fun. Every year our school does that. We have carwash. We all come home sopping wet but it's super fun.

It was extremely fun. We had a mini carnival for children. They liked it alot.
And we did things at school. It was nice. Our club raises money for the Ronald McDonald house. They have a blood drive, and some other things. The year before we raised money for Hurricane Katrina victims.
We are taking a break this year, but going back next year.

every year at our school we raise money for the Jimmy Fund, and if you raise enough you get a visit from a Boston Red Sox player. we have won the last 2 years. last year or earlier in the year, we got a visit from Kevin Youklis and Dustin Pedroea. and the year before the school met Trot Nixon.

I don't make any money to donate, maybe when I mow the lawn, I'll get 5$ but my mom keeps borrowing my money claiming she doesn't owe me anthing. So I can't donate anything, if I could I would.
