Usually when a disaster occurs we suspend the rules a little bit. We certainly understand the need for people to vent.
What we won't allow is things to get out of control and some of the personal attacks etc are getting there.
This is not a debate board, we don't have one. If you feel the need to debate I am sure you can find a place.
Consider this your warning that the personal attacks will stop or we will be taking the appropriate action.

This is not a debate board

Actually, a debate board is not the place for personal attacks either. It's a place for thoughtful intelligent discussion of a given topic. As I recall, it was the personal attacks that caused us to lose our debate board here at DIS. Let's not allow it to cause the demise of the Community Board too.
