I was so disappointed when I read about the new discount codes but then I went back and read Mary Waring's information again. It states, at the bottom of the resorts included, that "other resort are available at varying rates". So I figured, "What the hey, what do I have to lose"? I called CRO and gave them the code and asked what rate I could get for the Poly for the dates I had booked. A very polite CM named Andrea said I could have the Poly for $199 per night! I had previously gotten it down to $209 but that was with the AP rate. Now I have it for $10 cheaper a night without having to buy an AP! Granted that doesn't seem like much but it will pay for a couple meals down there! So, if you are upset about the discounts call CRO anyway...right away...and find out if you can get a discount at any other resort you're staying at that's not included on the list.

What dates are you staying at the Polynesian?

I booked the Polynesian for $221.10 per nite with my DC discount. When the new codes came out, I called to see if I could get a better rate and was quoted $221. Almost the same, but we have tickets for Wide World of Sports or Minigolf included in our price.

We're going 8-11 to 8-18. When I first booked I used the AAA discount and got $282 per night. Then I decided to take everyone's advice and buy one AP for myself so we could get the AP rate. I then called CRO and changed from AAA to AP discount. I was told I would have to make a stop at DD to purchase the AP before checking into the resort. For the AP rate I was paying $209 plus tax, which put it at about $232.00 per night after taxes. When I called this morning I was told, with the new code I would be charged $199 per night. With tax, it would be $220.89 per night. Like I said, I know $12 per night doesn't sound like much of a savings but add to that the fact that I now do not have to make a stop at DD before arriving and paying extra for an AP to get a discount! I went from $282 per night to $220 per night so I have saved $434 from when I first booked to now! :)

Thanks for the info. My 221.10 rate includes the taxes. It's not much more than your rate. But I'm going over the July 4th holiday. That could make a difference too.
