Hey y'all. Doing a four-day, three-night vacation in June.

After several changes, we've settled on a cheaper resort and better food. So we're staying at POR and springing for the DxDDP (Deluxe Disney Dining Plan), so we get 9 TS credits and 6 snack credits each.

We are just me and my wife. We're both in our late 20s.

Here's our plan. I'm willing to change any or all of these, so all feedback is welcome and appreciated! :thumbsup2:

UPDATED (Ver. 2)

DAY 1: EPCOT
Breakfast before we arrive
Arrive, check into resort
LUNCH: 12 at Les Chefs De France (1 credit)
DINNER: 7:10 at Teppan Edo (1 credit)

DAY 2: MAGIC KINGDOM
BREAKFAST: 9:25 at Kona Cafe (1 credits)
LUNCH: Snacks
DINNER: 7:40 at California Grill (2 credits)

DAY 3: HOLLYWOOD STUDIOS
BREAKFAST: Snacks
LUNCH: 11 at 50's Prime Time Cafe (1 credit)
DINNER: 6 at Flying Fish (2 credits)

DAY 4: ANIMAL KINGDOM
BREAKFAST: 8:15 at Tusker House (1 credit)
LUNCH: Out-of-pocket quick lunch
Depart

So... thoughts? :scratchin:

My thoughts are that I want to go with you! Your meal choices sound fabulous! :thumbsup2

I'm not a huge fan of Teppan Edo, so I might look at other options like Via Napoli or one of the boardwalk restaurants. Another idea would be to do a quick service lunch on your Epcot day, do Chefs de France for dinner, and then do the Tusker House breakfast on your AK day if you have think you will still have enough time in AK.

All your other choices look amazing to me! Have a wonderful trip! :goodvibes

I might rearrange things a bit to do something like this:

EPCOT Day:

Lunch: Tangerine Cafe or Sunshine Seasons OOP
Dinner: Chefs de France (1TS)

MK Day:
Same

DHS Day:
Lunch: Brown Derby (2TS)
Dinner: Flying Fish on the Boardwalk (2TS)

AK Day:

Same.

That means more money OOP, but it leverages the fact that at Brown Derby, you can get a signature lunch meal, and gets you a better dining experience overall on your DHS day.

DW and I tend to steer away from CRT when it's just us, but I can understand the appeal of eating inside the Castle. I think your plan looks good as is, but I don't think there's enough in DHS worth eating on the DxDP, and would try to leverage things to get another meal outside of the park. FF is my favorite signature right now, so it would be hard for me to pass up.

Great points, all. Thanks!

I'd like to keep Teppan Edo and 50's Prime Time because I've been to both of them and have fond memories that I'd like to share with DW.

And I think it would be cool to see Remy at Chefs de France, and he's only lunch, right?

But I think I can drop Cinderella's Royal Table (we'll get a lil' taste of character dining at AK on Day 4), and I love the idea of going to Flying Fish and checking out the BoardWalk. Do you think if we have a 6 p.m. at Flying Fish we'll make it back in time for Fantasmic?

How's this look... Changes in red...

Fantasmic! is a boat ride (or long walk) away, so you shouldn't have a problem (unless it's an early 7:30-ish show).

Have you ever been to AKL? You might enjoy seeing the lodge and have more variety than Tusker House.

Yes, I added a Tusker House character breakfast on my final day. I want to leave lunch open that day because we'll only be at the park for a little bit before heading to the airport. :(

We've been editing both of our posts :). I would consider Boma as a breakfast option (nothing wrong with Tusker House).

Ha! :lmao: Oops!

I'm thinking Boma will take too long (incl. transportation) to give us much of a day there.

If you've never seen the lodge, it is a destination in itself. It won't take much time to get from the lodge to the park, but being in the park before it opens (if that's when your Tusker HOuse ADR is) is also a huge perk.

We'd get in at 8:15 with Tusker, so that would be cool. It would be neat to see AKL, though, because we'd love to stay there one year. Hmm...

If it were me, I wouldn't spend valuable time on my only AK day going to AKL. TH is a great character meal. Plus, you spend more time commuting to/from AKL than you'd think. We ate at Jiko, which is right by Boma, last weekend. We started leaving AK at 6:45 pm, & arrived at Jiko exactly at 7:35 pm, which was our ADR time. I wouldn't cut it that close again, but I wasn't expecting it to take that long to get there.

Also, if you don't feel you have time to go to FF & make it back for F!, I wouldn't hesitate to go with your original plan, & eat at HBD. We've had meals at HBD that were every bit as good as our meals at FF. You never can tell with Disney restaurants. One trip HBD will be better, the next FF will be.

Agreed. If you'll be back some day, use your time at the park.

If your AK day is also an AM EMH day, I would seriously try to make the ADR an hour earlier.

I would cut out either Brown Derby or CRT and gain a meal on your departure day. You can use the credits on check out day.
