Hi. We're visiting DW this fall for FD!! :goodvibes:

I was looking over the menus of the following restaurants and they looked pretty good so I added them to a list. Now I'm wondering if you can take some time to comment on them? What did you think? What did you order? Did you enjoy the meal? Would you go back again? When did you visit this restaurant?

Here's the list:

Captains Grille
Yak & Yeti
Boma
The Wave
Bongos Cuban Cafe Express
Cap N Jacks
Cookes of Dublin
Crossroads House of Blues
Portobello
Rainforest Cafe
Katsura Grill
Teppan Edo

Thanks in advance to all who help me!! :cloud9:

We really love Boma. It has a large variety of food. There are African inspired dishes mixed in with some familiar American favorites. We went with our family as well as my MIL and it was everyone's favorite. We all have very different tastes.

I also love the Rainforest Cafe. It is a fun atmosphere and the food is pretty decent too.

Captains Grille is good. I have had Breakfast and Lunch there. I always get the Buffet for Breakfast, can't remember what I got for Lunch. I would recommend it.

Yak & Yeti is one of my Fav's! We had Lunch there in September and it was Very good! I had the Egg rolls for app, Honey chicken for Entree and sorbet trio for dessert which was the best dessert I had all week! My mom had the potstickers for app, Lo Mein for entree best Lo Mein I've ever had! and Sorbet for dessert. Our food and service was Great! I highly recommend eating here:)

Teppan Edo is hands down my Favorite restaurant in WDW! We had Dinner there in September and were going again this September!:yay: The Tempura app is soooo good! I had Chicken & Shrimp, which came with udon noodles, vegetables and rice, it was all very good! our Chef James was very entertaining. It is my DD(8) favorite restaurant as well! I highly recommend it and definitly don't think you will be disappointed!:)

.

I second Boma!!! We love going there, it is our favorite!

If I missed it, I apologize, but are you asking about breakfast or dinner at Boma?

I've done breakfast there and absolutely loved it! (Enough so that it was one of the only two ADRs I'm making for my next trip.) The food is fantastic and I adore the atmosphere of AKL!

Thanks for all feedback !! :)

Boma for lunch or dinner?

Also need comments and input about the other places I've listed if anyone knows! :hippie:

so dreaming about the food already..... :cloud9:

My most recent trip was November.

I love love love Boma. If it was just a soup buffet, I would love it just as much.

Yak & Yeti was very enjoyable. We had seats on the second floor while the parade was going past and we could see it right out the window. I thought the food was above-average. My kids love Chinese food so they were very happy with their lo mein choice.

Teppen Edo was enjoyable. Food was the same as our local Hibachi restaurant. The show was better than the local place though. My husband and I had some good sushi for apps.

Planing a trip in October this year, Boma and Yak & Yeti are on our to-do list for our trip.

We :lovestruc Boma for both breakfast and dinner. Have done 1 or the other every trip. We tried the Wave for the first time for breakfast a year ago in February and really enjoyed it. It is on our list to try in October for dinner this time. We also did Captain's Grill for dinner last year and thought it was good. Not outstanding, but not bad either. The only other restaurant on your list that we have done is RFC. We go more because my daughter loves it than anything else. Food is okay, restaurant itself is super loud.

We really like Yak and Yeti. It is by no mean a must do, but we've done it twice and would happily go back. The Yak Attack (frozen drink) is great on a hot day! You might hear mixed reviews about this place. A waitress once told us that the restaurant is owned by a company that has fish restaurant. Therefore, we really liked every fish dish we ordered. The Malay curry is really good. But we did not really care about the chicken dishes. The duck was also really good. Otherwise, we liked the fried wontons but left the mango pie mainly untouched.

The other restaurant on your list that we tried is Captain's grill, while we stayed at the Beach Club. We were glad we did not go out of our way to eat there. We felt rushed even though the place was nearly empty, the dishes were nothing special either. It was not bad, it was just not memorable. I barely remember that there was creamy polenta in mine. Would not go back there unless we stayed in that area again and nothing else was open.

I hope that helps.:goodvibes
