not sure of your price point, but i bought dd18 a laptop from HP yesterday, built from thier site - 14" screen windows 7,( dd required that) offering free upgrades from 2gb to 4gb of memory, and from 250gb to 500gb hard drive. i upgraded to the faster processor, and there was free shipping- my total was $677.xx with tax shipped.
it was better than the outlet at dell. ( which i had be scouring for a week)

Sheesh! So much for tea and sympathy around here.

WalMart was supposed to be open all night, but wasn't supposed to be honoring BF deals until 5am--at least that's what our paper said. The OP should have been there in plenty of time.

Wrong again. People who got there and waited all night received tickets for the merchandise they wanted. If you saw someone walking out with a doorbuster tv at 4am it was because all the tickets had been given out, it was obvious that the people waiting weren't going anywhere and it didn't change a thing.

I took a pp advice and bought a refurbished computer. I hope I'm not disappointed with it, but it is for a 5 year old, soooo.... It actually came to a little less than the Staples deal I missed, and was comparable so overall I'm happy with what I got. I figure the difference in what I'll get in a couple weeks won't be anymore than a $50 savings at best, for virtually the same thing, and with the aggravation I went through today it's worth it to me to be done.

Just relax and keep watching the sales... more will come out between now and christmas... it will happen!!!! Always does BF is not the ONLY day there will be deals

Our Walmart had all the tickects handed out by 12:30am. While I was at target in line my niece went to Best Buy they said they had so many they weren't giving out tickets your chances of getting one was good. Do you believe we forgot to go to best buy when they opened what were we thinking.
Sorry you missed it. Hoping they will have another good deal soon.

I agree... don't give up! It's funny, last night, I was looking at the laptops online for my mom. Well.. I was looking at the $298 laptop, and I read the reviews. A few reviews dated from EARLY NOVEMBER said "this is a great laptop for $298".. I was like, WAIIIITTTT... this isn't a BF deal, this is just a plain old sale! In fact, my mom went to WM early this morning but after the 5am madness, and she talked with a few of the electronics employees and they said "oh, it'll be on sale again a few times before Christmas."

So... just keep your eyes peeled, there are more deals to be had, I'll bet my bottom dollar on it.

Yeah, I got that one on 11/7!
