Please look at my ADRs--Update: I got them all!

I'm trying to get our meals planned for our trip in June. We can make our ADRs beginning next Monday. Our party will be me, DH, DD7, DS4 and the in-laws for a total of 6 people. I'm the only one who has ever been to WDW before and that was about 20 years ago! I'm looking for suggestions of any kind. Let me know if I'm making a mistake or doing the right thing! Also, I'm my kids are a bit picky so I'm wondering if I'm making good choices for them. By the way, we are on the Deluxe Dining Plan. We will most likely have a car so we won't have to rely on WDW transporation. We are staying at ASMu.

on thursday, if you don't have to be IN the park, but still near the park, you may try 1900 Park Fare for dinner at the Grand Floridian.

Are you getting a Park Hopper and more options? If so, on your DTD day you may try a water park or Disney Quest. I hear the counter service at Disney Quest is pretty good.

Lunch at Epcot - Garden Grill, Coral Reef, or Le Cellier if you are looking for table service. And there are many CS places to choose from.

Check out the menus here or on allearsnet.com and see what they have to offer. Have fun planning. I just called yesterday as we are planning to go May 27 - June 2, but I haven't made my package ressies yet. Just the ADR's so I would be able to get my choices. Also, you have the option of doing some 2 table service dinners since you are on DxDP. I used a spreadsheet on Excel to map out my days and times.

Did the DDP for the first time last august and booked everything well in advance. Le Cellier was fantastic (bbq steak to die for). DTD lunch - earl of sandwich is excellent for a quick meal. Also very good is Wolfgang Puck express but if you sit outside watch out for the crazy birds!!

Book as soon as you can for Le Cellier if you choose to go there and also Chef Mickey's they fill up very quickly. Did CM for breakfast and it was great but don't forget the camera like we did!

If you want a counter lunch at epcot electric umbrella is good, do NOT go to fish and chip shop in england though it is vile (I'm from England and worst fish n chips I have ever had).

Our fave counter service in MK is Peco Bills there is always seating inside so you can cool off a bit, its up near Splash Mountain. Have not done TS in MK but I believe Tony's Town restaurant is v good.

In AK Pizzafari is good for food but very short on tables, we sat down and were told by a happy lady that the table was taken, she was trying to keep 8 seats so we just sat down anyways.

I.m trying LeCellier or the first time and have heard rave reviews about it and you should be close to view Illuminations another thought is Biergarten, also close for Illuminations and is essentially a meat and potato menu!!

Will you be leaving the parks for afternoon breaks? I'm asking this because it is curious that on your MK am you are having dinner at Boma and your AK am you're having dinner at WCC. It would be easier, even though you have a car, if you're staying in the park, to switch them around. If you're leaving, it probably makes no difference.

For TS "in" MK, I recommend trying a monorail resort, as another poster has suggested. Since you already have Chef Mickey's and 'Ohana, I like the idea of checking out GF. Or even consider HDDR, which is unanimously (11 people across 4 generations polled) our family's very favorite WDW dining experience...even if this is your Spectro night, you may be able to catch the 1st show and make it back to MK for Spectro, depending on the time. The boat ride is lovely, so if you do this, leave the car in the lot and enjoy the boat...then you can have some of that included beer/wine/sangria!

For IllumiNations we once booked Rose 'n Crown for its reputation as an excellent viewing spot, which ended up being one of the worst views we've ever had! However, we ended up really enjoying the food, and have dined there several times subsequently, only early enough that we could be in and out in time to stake a better spot for fireworks...go figure!

We have tried (except WCC) and love your dining choices, and your children will surely enjoy the options and atmosphere at those places. 'Ohana's dinner menu can be a little dicey for picky kids, but you can always ask your server for something else for them. We especially love Chef Mickey's on the first night and heading over to MK for fireworks!

I love your choices. I would try to add a character breakfast at Cape May Cafe and also a dinner at Coral Reef. Then you will have hit all my favorites!! You could also contact Coral Reef about having a diver come down especially for your crew.

Nice choices. I'd suggest for the lunch when you're at DTD Wolfgang Pucks. I haven't been but have heard nothing but great stuff. We'll be trying it next trip. For your open dinners on Thursday and Friday I'd suggest Rose & Crown to view Illuminations. Or Le Cellier and then snag a spot outside the restaurant. The other evening if you want to leave MK maybe The Boardwalk. Some good choices there, Spoodles, Can't remember the first part but the Brewworks. We ate there and would go back. Hope all the advice helps.

Yes, we will be leaving in the afternoons for breaks. The only day we plan to stay at the park all day is the MGM day. I was thinking we'd do an early dinner and then head back so it will be an early night.

Another vote for 1900 Park Faire. Although we haven't dined there since the recent renovation, it was one of our favorites in the past. Also love 'Ohana, both breakfast and dinner, especially if you are a family of meat eaters, . For counter service at MK, the Columbia Harbor House is good, as are Pecos Bill's and Cosmic Ray's. At AK the Flame Tree Barbeque used to be good. EPCOT has Electric Umbrella for burgers and the Sunshine Seasons food court in the Land is very versatile. MGM is sketchy, we normally eat Sci Fi Dine In for TS burgers, lots of fun for the family, dine in "cars" under the stars at the drive in. Cape May is fun at dinner for the "clambake", clams, mussels, boiled shrimp, ribs and prime rib buffet style.

DH wants to do seafood at least one night. Based on your suggestions, I was going to add Coral Reef and Le Cellier as the other two dinners. Then someone mentioned the clam bake at Cape May. So would you suggest doing Cape May buffet one night or Coral Reef or both? What are the viewing options for illuminations near Coral Reef?

Maybe do the Cape May dinner in the place of Ohana and still do both Coral Reef and Le Cellier? I think Ohana would be a lot of fun, but I really don't think the kids would eat anything there. They aren't big meat or veggie eaters.

KEEP Chef Mickey's you can dine w/o hustling to the park and the Contemporary is monorail stop from MK or even a short walk. Your kids should really enjoy the place and your family will be immersed in Disney that first night; also you'll get a family photo taken there, expensive but you or in-laws may find it a worth while souvenir as its a special trip for your family; its a buffet with lots of choices and no limit; finally its a character meal that was the #2 rated thing at Disney for my 5yo (now 6yo) nephew; go with your gut here

You haven't given us times, but depending when you have breakfast you may not eat at the normal lunch hour so maybe Pizza Planet becomes an early dinner for you; that breakfast is a buffet so you may be quite full for a while; the other poster makes a good point about booking for the Fantasmic package if you want to see the show we did this at Hollywood and Vine and found it helpful the food was basic, but having the entry was really nice; just beware that your 4yo may get squimish during the show so plan to hold them or do something else with him/her for that time by the way the same may be true for any of the 3D attractions in the parks; you may just have to take them to one to find out for sure

We did Boma on our AK day and I would suggest you do the same; its a very quick trip and we were at AK to see the parade; fun music amazing costumes and floats; my nephew asked to go to MK everyday and we took him just about everyday; at your kid's age I think it will be hard to pry them away from MK just for dinner and Boma is good enough that you shouldn't miss it

WCC didn't appeal to us, but many like it; it would be easier to just hop the boat from MK to WL for this meal, telling the kids they're going on a boat ride may be enough to get them to agree to leave MK! again switch this with Boma

Coral Reef was an amazing experience my nephew loved it and it we went for lunch, but are considering dinner for our next trip; we completely cleaned our plates there; the aquarium is awesome they give the kids a sheet to mark off the fish/turtles as they see them so they're occupied and give you a bit of a break

Since your in laws are travelling with you consider splitting a meal, especially dinner. If they will entertain the kids for an evening make an ADR for Narcoossee's or one of the other 2TS places on site; then do the same for them one night; you don't all have to eat every meal together and it might be best if you didn't...lol

I was going to say the same thing that iloveeeyore said... I'd flip Boma and WC if you plan to be at the parks at dinner time because it'd really cut down on the travel time between the parks and restaurants

The kids might enjoy the boat trip from MK to Wilderness Lodge/Fort Wilderness, too.

If you can't get the ADRs you want, you might consider the Lilo and Stitch breakfast at Ohana. Our ds6 loved it last spring. He also (surprisingly) enjoyed the Hoop De Doo review, which we were very nervous about in the beginning. Both were fun.

Since you'll be there during the summer, you might also consider using two TS credits to do the Mickey's backyard bbq at the Fort. I've heard it's really fun. You might be able to time it so that the kids could also take in the campfire program with Chip and Dale before heading back to your resort.

I just wanted to share that today was my day to make ADRs and we got EVERYTHING we wanted!!

We are using Dreams Unlimited and today made me realize why! I got up, went to work, and around noon got an email telling me that it was all taken care of! I'm so excited! Ok, you can go on about your business now, but I just had to share with people that would appreciate this. All DH could say was, "That's good." Come on, I wanted to do a happy dance!

You can do seafood on the boardwalk at either Cape May or Flying Fish (I prefer but kids/picky eaters may do better at Cap May being a buffet) and then walk back for Illuminations. You'll be able to get good viewing spots if you show up early enough.
