Looks like you have a choice to make!:rolleyes1

Question for the expert Disney travelers. What kind of bag do you take? What do you usually carry into the parks?

the bagalinni backpack was the best bag I have ever carried in the parks! It's kinda ugly but worked great!

Well, It'll fit right in with the ugly Crocs that I'll probably end up buying!:rotfl:

Hey....my minnie jane crocs are very much not ugly! right, faith? :snooty:

The TR link is mocking me.....since I can't seem to get back to it. :rolleyes1 If I update, maybe it'll get added in.

well----if I ever get to go without taking a diaper bag, I will let you know. :lmao:

Ugh! Great question Monica. I have had the hardest time finding just the right thing. I used a WDW tote bag for a while but noticed that my shoulders/back would hurt by the end of my trip - probably because of all the weight on one side (I kind of miss having a stroller). Then I bought a little Mickey backpack but noticed my back hurt too. I've heard great things about the Baggelini (sp?) but I hate having things cross my chest.

Ok - for all you croc lovers out there I have a question. I have the croc flip flops which I love but won't work in colder weather. IF I were to buy the regular crocs  do you wear socks with them in winter? Or is that a big no no? :confused3

as long as you are wearing long pants.... yes you will be okay. Some people wear socks with them with crops or shorts and it looks horrible. Missa wears her crocs almost everyday even in the winter and you better believe they require socks :rotfl2:

Good morning all. Lots of chatter while I was away playing. I'm not sure I'll remember it all.

I try not to carry a bag into the parks but if I do, I carry a baggellini backpack. The one I have is small and it has a strap that zips so that you can wear it as a regular backpack (2 staps) but you can also wear it just over one shoulder like a handbag would be (1 strap--the 2 straps are zipped together). I love that thing. It lays flat on the back so it's comfortable. The only comment I have about it is that the straps are not adjustable and they are not that long. So it might be too small for some people to wear comfortably. I don't carry a lot of stuff.

Crocs. I wear mine with socks and long pants. Honestly, I would have done mine with capris too but my group refused to let me leave the condo without changing to tennies. Monica, I'm so proud of you for considering them. You won't regret it, super comfortable. And Kari's Minnie Janes are so cute. Not at all bulky and croc looking. I'm going to see about getting a pair of those for Europe. No tennies over there so it's tough to find something comfortable to walk in without sticking out as a TOURIST. My problem is that I have fat feet so I'm not sure the Minnie's will be wide enough for me. Kari's feet are tiny, like the rest of her. I have Fred Flintstone feet. Yabba dabba doo.

So Kimmy, can we go with your expert advice regarding MVMCP not selling out? As AP holders, we can get 2 at a discount rate if we buy them on the same day as the event. Is it okay to wait until that Friday for sure? We've always watched the second parade because the ride lines are supposedly shortest during the first parade. We've only been twice and both times we stayed until the very end of the party. Left coast time, works out great for me.

And no ME for me. I hate ME, especially the ride back at the end of the trip. We always get a towncar service. Without a tree strapped to the top. I think they charge extra for that.

BTW, Beaches and Cream is about a 5-10 minute walk out the International Gateway at Epcot. An easy walk. When we were there this January, there wasn't even a wait and that was on the Saturday of President's Day weekend. If this is the plan, just consider having a late lunch, after the normal crowd, say 1:30 or so and immediate seating will probably be available, especially if it's too cold for swimming. The place is super tiny so there can be long waits for tables here. Or plan on being there right when it opens. We usually do the late lunch as I'm not known as an early riser. :rolleyes1

Well not one party I have attending during the first week of December has been even close to selling out. I have not been fortunate to make it to Florida every year during that week, but the years I have gone I attended multiple parties. I would think you should be okay. I will have an AP too, thanks for the heads up. Do you remember by chance what the discount is?

This past trip was my first trip without a full-out diaper bag (since I only had one child that needed anything this time, as opposed to all three last time). I carried the REI Donner Overland bag (I think that's what it's called anyway :confused3 ) It worked really well! The only two colors they had left when I ordered were black and lime green. Normally, I would have picked black, but what color do you think I went with this time? :disrocks:

It had a lot of interior pockets, two side pockets for water, and a zippered compartment in the front that was great for tickets and money. It worked very well. You can see it in some of the pictures in my trip report, but here it is:

I really liked it. You could wear it across your chest (which is how I did because of hand holding or stroller pushing) or just over your shoulder. My mom had the one in black and really liked it too!

Yeah, I don't like my readers either!:lmao: Are the Minnie Jane crocs like flip flops? I can't have a strap between my toes. Are they as comfy as the regular Crocs? I know the regular Crocs are comfy because they are big on your feet, what about the other styles? I've got Pakey feet!

As for the party lines. What's shorter than walk on?:confused3:laughing:

Faith, glad you're home!

Sara, that bag is cute! I did notice it in your TR. It sounds a lot like my Baggalinni. Is it cloth?

The Minnie Janes are Mary Jane style. No thing in the toe. They do tend to run narrow, which is why I prefer them. I am a big girl with long thinner (not really narrow) feet. The thing I really don't like about the regular crocs is that they are HUGE. The comfy part is the sole for me.

Yes, it is cloth Kimmy. My other choice was the Baggalinni, but I wasn't sure if it would hold everything (I still needed to carry a couple of pull-ups and some wipes for Katie), so I opted for this one in hopes that it would be big enough. It was. I can't do the backpack thing, because I get too annoyed having to take it off and on to get anything out of it and I don't like having to take things off and on at rides. I liked the messenger style of the baggalinni because it had that extra zippered part for tickets and money. This one had slightly more room for me though.

Also, Monica, the Crocs I have are the Alice style. I can't do flip flops or anything between my toes either. I think it's the Flintstone feet (yep, I've got em)! The Alice Mary Jane style was really comfortable. You can't see them too well in this pic, but it has the bag AND the shoes in it, so I thought I would post it.

Yep those are the Crocs - see em? :rotfl2: Great picture of the shoes, huh? :sad2:

The talk of the bags makes me think of my mom and my aunt. The morning we went to EPCOT on this past trip, I shouted out (as a joke) NO FANNY packs!! I had NO idea that my aunt always wore one to a place like Disney and had convinced my mom that it was a good idea for her too :sad2: I had to lay down the law and there were no fanny packs to edit out of the pictures.

I love my baggalini it fits everything but I usually wear it across my chest so that might not be for you. Also you can wear crocs with socks with long pants. Wouldn't do it with capri's or shorts though  .

I think I like that bag better, since it seems to fit more. Love the kids Minnie and Mickey shirts, so cute!

I haven't spent much time on Dis this past week/ weekend. Things have been crazy with the kids activities and making ADR's and trying to potty train Thomas :rolleyes1 which hasn't been going very smooth at all. I have tried everything, he is perfectly happy with diapers :scared:.

I too have Fred Flinstone feet so I'm not sure the Mary Jane's will work. And the other ones look like boats but I may have to try them. I love my croc flip-flops for the warm weather but haven't found anything comfy for cold.

Sara - I like your bag! I may have to try one of those. I keep saying I can get by with something really tiny but it never seems to happen.

I will admit that I do have a Mickey fanny pack but after seeing pictures with it on me I only carry it in my backpack now as a wallet.
