Is there any way to get a discounted price for an annual pass or premium annual pass?
The reason I ask is because I've already waited too long to get full discount on an AP for the price of the 5 day park hoppers I had on my last trip... that have 1 day left on each of them. So I guess I'd prefer to just hold on to those 1 day left (on each park hopper) since they are good for eternity! (right?)

So... that means I need to get an AP or PAP before my trip since I got the AP rate for my room- but where can I get a discounted price? Is that even possible? It's just one price and that's it- no way to get it even a little cheaper?
LMK if you know of any place to get annual passes a little cheaper. The reason it's important to me to save as much as possible is that I will only have an actual 8 days to go into the parks on my soon upcoming trip. That is the break even point. I might not be able to return for another trip within a year. So I'd really like to save if I can... so that I won't be wasting money.

My only other option would be to purchase park hoppers and I don't see an 8 day park hopper anywhere. LOL

The only way to get a discount on an annual pass is with the Disney Club, and I am not sure you can join as it is being phased out Dec. 03.
An option for you is to purchase a LOS pass at the desk of your resort.
www.wdwig.com explains all the details of all the passes available. You might try looking there. Look under "planning" and then on the left tickets.

The only discount I know of for APs and PAPs is for DC members. If your membership expires in 2003, you may still be able to renew your membership for the rest of the year at a pro-rated cost.

If you are not a member, they are not accepting new memberships and you're out of luck.

If you're staying for 8 days, the AP may still be the way to go for you. Are you staying on property? If so, just one member of your party needs to be an AP passholder in order to get a room discount. That passholder can even be a child (cost=$334.41 for a child vs. $392.99 for an adult). Why not exchange one of your kids' Park Hoppers for an annual pass?

Get 7-day PHPs with character breakfast vouchers from Paramount ($301 for adult and $250 per child) for the rest of your party. Use the remaining day on your existing Park Hopper passes first and then enjoy the PHPs (with 4 pluses each) for the rest of the trip. You may even wind up with a few extra days and pluses at the end of this trip, which will make going back within a year even more possible!

I'm going solo- or else I sure would get the child's AP instead (for the room rate discount).
That's the dilemna I'm in.. order 7 day PHP w/character breakfast or order PAP and voucher for character breakfast. I think the reason I'm leaning more towards the PAP is because I'm going back so soon that I'm really kicking myself in the butt for not getting an AP in the FIRST place. So I just wasted a lot of money I could have saved. And I'm thinking- what if I go again in the next year? Which I might not if I didn't have an AP.. but an AP sure would make it more affordable to do so- yanno?
I don't think the entire family will go again for atleast a year- dh wants to wait until our youngest is a bit older and able to ride rides/etc. And I can totally understand that. But I'm not against going solo either HAHA.
I just keep thinking... Shelley if you buy that 7 day park hopper -even if you DON'T use the left over days on the other park hopper- you're going to regret it just like you regret not buying an AP in the first place! You're going to end up having an opportunity to go again- whether solo or with a friend- and wish you'd saved the money by getting an AP. I just have a feeling that's going to happen. Otherwise I'd for sure get the 7 day parkhopper w/character breakfast.

Decisions decisions- and I'm fast running out of time to be hemhawing about my decisions!

Thanks for the info about no discounts on APs unless a disney club member. I wish I was a member- but I never even heard about it until it was already discontinued. But it's good info to know to help me with my decision- that there are no discount prices for APs other than with a DC membership. Thanks!

Actually, that is not entirely true. In reality, the person making the reservation has to be the pass holder, and to make a reservation, you need to be over 18. While they may not always enforce this, it is the rule and it is enforced about 99% of the time.
