Hi! I recently discovered this board and am trying to do some t-shirts for our trip to WDW, which is in less than 2 weeks! A little late, I know! :goodvibes

I found some designs that I LOVE (you guys are awesome! :thumbsup2 ) but have no idea what I am doing as far as personalizing them...I inserted the design into a word doc as a pic and then used the "word art" function to personalize them. I have something I like, but now I can't figure out how to get the mirror image i need for printing...And when I try to copy it into paint (which I really don't know how to use) the text doesn't go with it...does anyone have any suggestions or advice??? I REALLY appreciate any help you can give!!! TIA!!!!!!!

Glad you are enjoying all the great DISigns! I create my images in Power Point, since I don't have photo shop. It's really easy to work in because you can easily drag things where you want it, and also create layers, which can be time consuming and frustrating (at least for me) in Word.

As far as printing the image in mirror, you go to print/properties/basics (tab)/ - then under Orientation, click Mirror Image - then click ok and print. Make sure you print it on plain paper first, just incase something is wrong. That way you don't waste transfer. Hope that helps! Oh, and I'm assuming you are using light transfer paper, since most dark paper doesn't need to be printed in reverse. :thumbsup2

I'm using dark transfer paper...clearly Ihave no idea what im doing...why wouldn't it need to be printed in reverse????

Read the directions that came with the paper, but most dark transfers print just like normal paper (you just need to make sure the correct side is up). You then peel the back off, place wax paper over the paper and iron the image. Light transfer paper prints in reverse because you iron on the "back" of the paper and then peel it off. Again read carefully. If it doesn't say to mirror the image, you don't have to. Hope that helps! If you do a search, you can find some great threads on dark transfer paper, including step-by-steps. :thumbsup2 Good luck.

Just to clarify - it is parchment paper you cover the transfer with. Do not use wax paper as I am pretty sure it would ruin the transfer.
