Please Help!!

Let me start off by saying that I am not trying to offend anyone! Gay days are June 2-June 9 and we are scheduled to arrive June 9. I have heard that those days are extremely crowded, would you go into the parks on that day, if so which one, or would you just hang out at the hotel?

We arrive June 8 but not until late.

We assumed the big crowds would be gone by then. The big weekend is the weekend before I believe I read. Also Star War weekends ends on the 8th so we are planning on doing Disney Studios on Monday 6/9 hoping that all the people who came just for Star Wars would be headed elsewhere since they were int he Studios all weekend plus I think it is EMH morning that day.

Disney Studios is the park we were thinking about going into also. We also have another afternoon in the week planned for it too, so I guess we will go ahead and go, if it is just outrageously crowded, we will go back to the hotel and go again on our other day we have planned for it, we'll just go a little earlier that day if we have to leave our first day!! How long are you staying? We will be there June 9-16!!! We are staying at Pop!

Hi Lesely.

I hear MK is the park to avoid, but maybe look on other boards (like the G & L one) and see if there is a suggested schedule so you can avoid the most busy parks.

I heard in the past, don't wear red, but that might not be the case any more. It was more of a code thing, and I don't they anyone bothers with codes anymore.

I would think AK would be a safe bet too.

When in doubt hanging at the hotel is always a good way to start the trip off. DTD can be very busy depending on the day of the week (weekends the most busy I think, lots of locals.)

Have a great trip. We will be there a month before you (same week as the cruise last year.) DH gets that week off between winter and spring semesters.

We're going the same week June 1-7, I wasn't thrilled when I found out we were there during gay days for any other reason than the crowds. I just rearranged our park schedule to avoid which ever park it was that gay days would be at that particular day. I found the park schedule on Touring plans. I just made the changes in our ADRs, which was only one anyway, and just noted it on my itinerary which park was likely to be most crowded.

Saturday June 7 - Magic Kingdom
Sunday June 8 - EPCOT

We are arriving on June 9th, too!! I was a little upset, myself, when I realized we'd scheduled it that close to GD. We are going to DTD our first day, and MK on Tues, 10th.

I was hoping we'd be there before it got "too crowded." We were there right before July 4th last summer and it was CRAZY-busy. But, so much for my over-planning, right? Maybe it won't be terribly crowded when we're there?!?!?! We can only hope.

I read where many of them are planning to take "bar naps" in the afternoon, so they can party all night. Although it will be hot in the afternoons, it may be one of the least crowded times of the day???? Just a guess, I dunno!!
