My family and I are planning our first trip to Disney in June. The children are 10 and 7. What building would you recommend at CBR? Have all the rooms been refurbed recently? I have seen posts commenting on the long trek to the pool, etc... from some of the buildings. And how close is parking as we will have a vehicle there?
Did the early entry perk for onsite guests disappear?
Thanks for all the help

Here's a link to the CBR map. You can see the two villages on either side of OPR and also, by crossing the bridge, it's not far to part of Aruba and Jamaica. (I never found the walk from Jamaica to be bad at all.) Also, you'll see bus stops behind the villages along the road. The white areas between the villages and the bus stops are the parking areas. In other words, you can park right behind your village. Very convenient.

In addition to the theme pool, each village also has it's own pool. They have elminated Early Entry -- at least for the time being. They started this when the crowds were so small that extended hours weren't needed. Possibly they'll reinstate it. In the meantime, they have begun having charcters come to the resorts on certain mornings.

I stayed at CBR in December and, on Seaspray's recommendation, asked for and received Martinique bldg # 25. It was PERFECT. The (standard) view was great. We could see the lake. There was about a 2 or 3 minute walk to Old Port Royale (the food court) and the marina and pool. Parking was very near, as was the bus stop. Check out Seaspray's pictures- they're great.

ALL of the rooms at CBR have just been completely refurbished in the last 5-12 months, and they look great! :)

I personally recommend Martinique 25 because it's close to the food court, main pool, shops, arcade, etc, as well as the bus stop, and quiet pool. Even if you have a car with you, the parking lot is just on the other side of building 24 or 26. Very short walks. However if you plan on using your car a lot and want it to be close to your room, request buildings 26 or 24.

cascadecupcake: Most of the buildings at CBR are non-smoking, there are only a few for smoking. If you prefer non-smoking be sure to let them know when you make your reservations and again when you check in.
