My best friend, Katie ( A.K.A. disneydance ) really needs help. Here's the story:
At our school, we have a Varsity (V), Junior Varsity (JV), and the C-Team for volleyball. When Katie tried out for volleyball with Jessica, they had both made the C-Team. They were both a little disapointed, but at least they were on the same team, right? Through the weeks they went through 6 A.M. practices, and a home game (recently) in which they had lost. She seriously thought of quiting. After all, the practices were tiring, there was a bratty girl on the team, and she was sitting out most of the time during the home game. I had always told Katie that at least she wasn't giving up. At least she was trying her hardest, even if she wasn't the best player on the team. I didn't want her to give up.
However, at tonight's game, Jessica got moved up to JV.
Katie called me, crying. She had no idea what to do. Should she quit? Should she stay in even though Jessica isn't on the team with her anymore?
Please, please, please help come up with ideas for her. I really want to help her, but it's so complicated, I don't even know if "not giving up" is the best thing to say anymore...
