I normally plan trips to a science, but this trip is a week away. My Dad died and I have not had a chance to research this trip like all our Disney trips.

We leave next Sunday, the 29th for 4 full days
at Universal. We are staying at The Peabody....We will our 8 year old grandson and want to make the most of 4 days at Universal......

If anyone could could give me a good plan for how to spend the 4 days and what to see and how best use our time......I would appreciate it so much.....could even send you a gift basket as I own a Gift Basket
business.

If you can email me personally, that would be wonderful...with what are MUST DO's and what restaurants to be sure and visit. As oyu can see I need a plan.

Thanks so much,
Teresa

Teresa...sorry to hear about your father. I know it's a tough time right now but the vacation will help to clear your head.

The Peabody is a very nice hotel and I'm sure you guys will enjoy the stay.

Now the plan....

Since you have four days at Universal, don't rush through it...take your time and enjoy yourselves. It will be HOT and crowded but that's FL in the summer. Spend the first day at whichever park you want to start with. I would bet there as early as possible to try and beat the crowds..although they shouldn't be as bad as the weekend crowds. The second day...hang out at the pool...go shopping...chill out. The third day go to the other park and again...take your time. Fourth day...go back and do the favs again.

I have some friends coming down that same week and I'll be at the parks with them in the evenings and I LOVE Universal at night!

I hope that gives you a little outline of a plan. :teeth:

As early as possible, as Metro West says above, means get there before the park opens. You will be amazed at how much you get done in the morning. Then you can go back to the hotel in the afternoon and enjoy it and then go back to the park at night. Your parking ticket is good for the entire day.

As for eating, I recommend Mythos as a special meal. However, there are so many restaurants at the parks, citywalk and the hotels, that it is hard to recommend.

Go to the thread, Universal FAQs, at the top of this board. It has a lot of link for you to follow. That should give you a good base to ask many more questions!!!

Don't fret about the planning. Just go early and have a ball!

Here is a good video to watch: http://www.uomeetingsandevents.com/...niversal_Studios_Florida/universal_video.html

I'm so sorry about your Dad.

I agree with the advice already given. The main trick is to be at the parks when they open if you can. It always amazes me to see the number of people pouring in later in the day and how quiet the parks usually are in the earlier morning hours.

See the big guns first. That includes The Mummy, Shrek, Men in Black and maybe Jimmy Neutron in one park and Spiderman, the coasters (if you ride) and the water rides in the other park. Actually we found that pretty much everything gets packed in IOA in the afternoon while those already mentioned and maybe ET and Jaws get crowded in the other. Afternoon is a great time for exploring and seeing the shows.

Have a fabulous time!
