During our trip to Orlando, we are planning on one day hitting both parks.

We will either go on Sat 8/20 or Mon 8/22...do you think we would be crazy going on a Saturday? If we do, should we purchase the unlimited front of the line access? How much is it?

Which park should we tour first? It's just my husband and I and we don't need to do any of the kid stuff.

Thanks!!!!!

I think either day will be busy but Monday would be the better of the two. It's also my birthday! WOO HOO!

The Express Pass Plus tix are usually in the $35-37/per person range. Play it by ear..it all depends on the crowds.

I would start with IOA since you won't be doing the kiddie rides. Make sure to ride Hulk and Spiderman as early as possible as they tend to have LONG lines by 11am or so.

Thanks...Saturday is out. Why would it still be really busy on a Monday at the end of August...I thought crowds were always much smaller?

This August will be our third time visiting Orlando in the summer. We have always found it to be significantly less crowded than any other time of the year. There will be lines but not that bad and with Fastpass you will breeze in and out. We find staying at one of the US on site locations helpful because of the roomkey/fast pass. Have a great time.

One note: You mentioned buying the "unlimited" FOTL pass. The Express Plus pass is NOT technically unlimited. It states on the pass that it is good for ONE FOTL admittance to each attraction.

That said, we were there the middle of June and paid $20 each for it.

The first day we were at US, and they only marked the pass for ET and T2. The others we rode over and over (8 times on MIB in a row not counting the other times.)

The second day we were at IOA, and they marked each attraction when we used it.

Apparently, sometimes you can use it over and over, and sometimes you can't.

Just curious, what were you planning on doing on Saturday if you don't go to Universal?

We just found out that my in laws will be visiting...they live in Ft. Myers. We will be going to Downtown Disney with them.

Thanks for everyone's responses!
