Hi All!

We are going on our first trip to WDW Mar 2. We are staying at AKL for three nights with the deluxe dining plan before heading to stay at a rental house with family. It is myself, hubby and our four yr old daughter.

So far, this is what I have planned:

Mar 2- arrive at MCO 12:10. Do not want to go into a park until Mar 3 ( so just hanging around the pool ect for the afternoon.
Lunch? but dining plan won't kick in until check in at 3
Dinner- here is where I am really stuck and would love some ideas. Will have a rental car, so we can drive to any resort, or eat at our own if there are suggestions there.

Mar 3- MK Bfast- 1900 Park Fare
Lunch- Liberty Tree Tavern
Dinner- O'Hanas

Mar 4- AK Bfast- Tuskers
Lunch- Flame tree BBQ
Dinner- Rainforest Cafe
* going to fantasmic that night

Mar 5- EP Bfast Akershus
Lunch - Le Cellier

Can someone help me fill in the blanks for the first day? Doesn;t matter if Character or not.

Thanks so much!

You can check in before 3PM even though your room may not be ready, so you can use the dining plan right away, before 3PM if necessary!

How about dinner at Boma your first night so you can relax at your resort?

Our 1st night we are going to Chef Mickey's for dinner around 6:30 and then heading to their balcony to watch Wishes from there. Not sure what time Wishes is on the 2nd when you arrive, but it is anice way to start the vacation.

Have fun!

You are very lucky to be staying at the AKL, which happens to have one of the best buffets at DW, Boma. Go down there if you can get a reservation.

Personally I wouldn't leave the resort. I would have Jiko for dinner. Boma is ok, but I didn't prefer the selection. It was good "if" you like that sort food.
But with those 2 onsite, I wouldn't leave. Settle in and relax, take time to enjoy your resort.

Another Boma vote. AKL is beautiful, and it would be great to really enjoy it. You sure have your other days planned------maybe overplanned. I hope you really enjoy, but running from one meal to the next reservation doesn't leave much time for relaxing enjoyment.
Maybe when you join the rest of your family at the rental house you can just chill to catch up from the busy eating schedule.:rotfl2:

Have fun.

I would recommend 1900 Park Fare. It is a buffet with alot of choices, but the main reason we went there was for the character interaction with Cinderella, The Prince, the step-sisters, and the step-mother. On our first trip our 5 yr old daughter got to dance with the Prince. The look on her face was priceless!

I would say.....Sanaa or Boma! We are staying at AKL in April and have Sanaa booked for our first night. NOT leaving the hotel and we can try somewhere new. You can see the animals from the restaurant, as long as it isn't dark yet :)
