Please Help With Planning...

Can anyone recommend some good site or message boards with info about the LA area? I'm planning our 1st trip to LA and we'll be spending part of it at DL but I need help with the rest of my planning.

Would you suggest staying at 1 hotel for the whole week, (Grand Californian, I hope), and drive up to Universal and studio tours from there OR should we book a hotel closer to Universal for that part of the trip and then then move to Grand Californian?

I appreciate any sugggestions...

I think it is nice to have a single"home" for thr trip, as long as you don't mind driving. For help in LA, try www.tripadvisor.com. Of course you can always post questions here too, we don't mind!
